I went into Sainsbury's (West Ealing, London) to pick up Shopmium's free hot sauce. Mission successful.
But I also found lots of baby food in the reduced section of the store for £0.20p. I bought one of each flavour.
The expiry dates varied. Only five were for May 2018, some weren't until 2019.

From experience with these reduced sales, it tends to be only a few stores. Maybe don't expect too much from your local.

Good luck and happy hunting!

This should be national as Sainsburys are getting rid of a lot of branded baby food lines to make way for their new range called Little One's. They are doing pouches, cereals and fruit pots etc from 70p - picked up a lot of Ellas stuff when I was in there last - hot!

I noticed the advertisement instore and wondered if it might be related. Good shout, it's possible more stores will do the same in the lead up to introducing their new line.

They have got rid of a lot of the cow and gate cereals in my local which I'm a bit annoyed about because it's the add water ones and the ones in their new range are add milk. I am bf ing so don't have spare milk to hand so will buy elsewhere but the fruit pots are great my little one likes the peach ones.

My Dad always told me I was spoilt for food as I'd fill the bowl of cereal with milk. He'd say "back in my day, my parents couldn't afford milk for our breakfast so we'd use water".
You just reminded me of that.
I'm sure you can use water instead. But perhaps it's worth giving them the feedback, they could consider changing the recipe or providing more options. As a new range, they're more likely to take feedback, I suppose.

I was told by health visitor to use normal milk in cereal and not to worry about expressing. My wee girl has a milk allergy so I just add coconut milk.
If anyone has a local Heron's/Cool Trader by them, there 39p! Ive seen them in 3 stores in Birmingham, so i presume its national
