Babybjorn are super uncomfy. Get your selves a connecta, boba or ergo - much comfier, cheaper and provide a seat for baby - not dangle the poor thing by its crotch

Agree with above - uncomfy for baby, not at all ergonomic.

Isn't this about the deal not the items functionality. If so its a good deal. Heat.

What's the point in buying something that's not functional though? Therefore not a good deal.

The Babybjorn One is their ergonomic carrier, unlike the other models it should be comfortable.

Unless the above commentators are of babylike proportions and have been carried by one I'd say your comment is purely speculation and nothing more.

I've used a Bjorn in the past and the only issue I have is how quickly baby used to fall asleep in it, my experiences differ from your opinion clearly.

Thought this was meant to be about whether it's a good deal or not? If I'd wanted a critical product review I'd have gone elsewhere. Not liking a product is not a reason to vote a good deal cold. Hot from me.

This seems to be an ongoing story that has absolutely no truth, but has been widespread through the internet. Do you ever do any research yourself or do you just mindlessly repeat things that you've read somewhere without quoting any reliable sources?

Some Babybjorn products are cheaper than this, some Ergo products cost the same as this. You normally pretty much get what you pay for. I wanted this one, because unlike you I like the quality of the Babybjorn and have so far only had good experience with the Babybjorn Active that I have my toddler dangling from the crotch in. She really likes it as well. The Babybjorn One is a different design, no crotch hanging, and my reason for getting it is the option to carry on the back and that I can carry my daughter for longer as the thing is designed for up to 15 kg.

This is a good deal - it's about 22 pounds more on Amazon.co.uk and about 30 pounds more in John Lewis. Third party places have it for about £100 plus delivery.

I don't care much about heat, but I like to share a good deal. If you don't like the product, move on. The deal is still good whether you like the product or not.

True, except the others actually seem to very comfy for my daughter as well. She has never complained about being in it. Quite the opposite. And we have never had any problems.

Here's a link with a view on the claim that it is bad for the baby: skeptoid.com/blo…th/

Totally not mindless, nor unresearched. I've worn each of my children often - babybjorns do not provide baby with a seat! Then dangle from the crotch - a position I would not like to be in. I think you'll find the mindless stuff claims that it can damage babies hips (i have not researched this but a quick google shows http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3s_W7eqmx58/UfanWo4iv9I/AAAAAAAAG-k/TeF-PsZEOcA/s1600/hips.png

I've come across this graph before and actually also read what it says on the site. Have you noticed that there's not a single source to any of the claims except cultural references?

But lets assume that it is true - I would claim that you still mindlessly repeat tales. Did you even consider googling (I know you can) the Babybjorn One. Here's an image search: google.co.uk/sea…oAg

Take a few seconds to notice the sitting position in the pictures.

Which is considerably better than a usual babybjorn but promoting world facing whilst being carried on the front (crotch dangling) isn't recommended
