Hi i noticed people missed out on the John Lewis Clippers, i spotted this one on amazon, maybe worthwhile. Reduced from £15, however it says on availability 3 - 4 weeks so not sure if that would maybe put people off??

Anyway gift for under a tenner is not bad

It comes complete with;

* 12 piece mains operated hairclipper kit
* Diamond sharpened high precision stainless steel blades for smooth clean cutting
* No need for oiling
* Taper control with 5-position lever for total precision
* 8 comb guides for different cutting lengths (3mm - 25mm)
* Scissors, barber's comb and cleaning brush
* 3 year guarantee.

Hmmmm. Poor reviews.

Sounds like you'd get a better job from using a spoon.

Not voted either way but is blooming cheap.

Got these ]only recently and have had a go they do the job. Haven't tried the scissors but they do look flimsy, as does the comb, as in the amazon reviews but what you get for £7.50 makes up for it. To be honest even the more expensive ones have cheap scissors and combs bundled. The motor seems OK, you have to adjust a screw on the side according to the voltage, as it fluctuates during the day (as per instructions) so that it works optimally - very straightforward. 8 combs with it too up to 25mm so overall a great buy I'd say.

Just went to amazon and it says £14.99.

Eitherway my mum got one of these and IF you do not use the attachaments it will give you a cut / scratch.

Sometimes for a close shave its better not using the attachements.

Our Whal is excellent though, its still running many years after purchase.
