In 1994, Star Trek had to take a backseat to a new kid on the block, science-fiction series Babylon 5, created by Michael Straczynski. In a nutshell, it's the 23rd Century and the Babylon 5 space station has become an interplanetary peaceful negotiation centre. Humans and aliens attempt to settle differences in a reasonable fashion here under the stewardship of President John J. Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner), which makes for some fantastical plot arcs throughout its five year run. This stylishly compact yet comprehensive box set contains every Babylon 5 episode ever made, the series Crusade and all six Babylon 5 feature films with extras, plus the brand-new feature The Lost Tales, which has never been shown on television.

Can't stand these type of shows at all, just not my thing, but massive heat 42 DVD's awesome if it is your thing, another good find by Andy. Cheers will let a coupe of friends know, it's more their thing.

i order these last week and as of yet hasnt even been sent out by zavvi.

OOS been waiting over 2 weeks already for this to come back into stock and since then the price has gone up and fallen back down to this.

Zavvi! ordered Buck Rodgers still haven't got?

Must say I ordered this a week ago myself, probably the first to order this because I posted deal on here and still awaiting despatch oO

I spent so much back in the day getting every episode on VHS, great show - well worth the price!
If you like this then I would highly recommend Farscape if you haven't seen it already.

I'm afraid Farscape PALES in comparison to this. I could only watch Farscape through once. This is timeless and can be watched over and over and over...

Fantastic series, DVDs let down slightly with the special effects.

Originally the shot was shot so that it could be shown in 4:3 (which i beleive the VHS videos were) and also in 16:9 (DVD). However they rendered the effects in 4:3 with the idea that they could do them again if they needed to for 16:9 - which never happened, so you do end up with a zoomed in shot for any effects.

But... although you will notice it, it doesn't distract or make the series anything less than a much watch!

Best sci-fi series imo. One massive story, you rarely get that these days.

Just purchased. Never got round to watching this back in the 90's but I managed to watch every other sci fi series.

I concur. However watching Farscape again as just bought the complete series on Blu-Ray.

But B5 is the daddy of space opera TV sci-fi. Just wish WB remastered it for Blu-Ray - heck i'd buy it if it was just upconverted on blu-ray lol.

I ordered this last week when it was this price - arrived Friday morning.

Despite how Zavvi have chosen to list it, the item delivered was actually the "Babylon 5 Ultimate Collection", so rather than the incomplete episode listing, what you really get is:

Babylon 5 Series 1
Babylon 5 Series 2
Babylon 5 Series 3
Babylon 5 Series 4
Babylon 5 Series 5
Crusade - The complete series

7 x Babylon 5 films:
In the Beginning
The Gathering
Thirdspace
The River of Souls
A Call to Arms
The Legend of the Rangers
The Lost Tales

Ordered for £35.96 with voucher. Didn't give this much of a try when originally broadcast, but worth taking another look at this price! lol

It is indeed worth the money.
There's quite a noticable jump in quality when the second series starts (and again for the third) so if you aren't grabbed by it straight away then do stick at it. There's some of my favourite TV episodes of any type of show in there..

I know, think it was 2 videos for £15 in HMV when I was buying it. I've 2 cardboard boxes full in the attic. I've copied all these onto DVD now but really must get the real thing one of these days

Got all these sets seprate but may get the complete set.

As for the show Season 1 is good but Sinclair is boring. When Bruce Boxleitners character John Sheridan takes over start of Season 2 it picks up big time.
Season 4 is just WOW. Best season of any sci-fi space opera ever imo.

Ordered this and just waiting for delivery (has been despatched apparently).
Absolutly first class SF series and the offer is a real bargain!

Can this not be streamed over the Internet instead of spending £40? Love film, sky or virgin?

Also voted cold as not blu ray

Ordered last week, still awaiting dispatch:(

smiler it's not out on blu-ray yet and surely trying to stream over 100 TV episodes/films would cost more in bandwidth?
Clearly a troll.
