I can see how someone like yourself would want swivel, and I guess you pay the premium for that feature. My daughter has climbed in and out of her own seat since about 18 months, so that feature wasn’t needed here. I feel it more essential her being Rear Facing for longer, but everyone’s needs/wants are different. 😊
Whilst it’s irrelevant to this being a “deal” or not, the swivel is the selling point imo. My back isn’t great and lifting an ever increasingly heavy child out is only going to get harder. If ou don’t want the swivel, then your money could be better spent elsewhere as you’ve pointed out. We've had ours for 6 months and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s big, heavy and expensive, but the pros far outweigh the cons for me and my bad back :)
Not voting either way, feel like it’s a lot for a rear facing seat that won’t last long for taller/heavier children (more than 50th centile). Like my daughter would outgrow it RF by the time she’s 3y3m, whereas I can get a Britax Two Way Elite that will keep her rear facing until she’s 25kg, and is rated higher than the Sirona for safety testing, for £165. I guess if you need the Isofix for moving the seat a lot, or the swivel, which is kind of necessary with the high sides, then it’s a good deal.
I think the issue is people confusing appraising the price vs the discount. A BMW M3 with 20% off is still expensive but a good deal nonetheless
