No problem, thanks!

I've reserved one so this is hot, however i'm a bit confused. Does this car seat need a seperate isofix base or is the base part of the car seat? Please help as I don't want to pick it up tomorrow if I have to buy a seperate base??

there's no separate base, the seat has the isofix attachment built in, 2 arms that stick out the back of the base

D'oh! Didn't see that! Never mind. Picked it up earlier and it's really good.

Looks a lot better in the flesh. Has loads of padding and the ISOFIX built-in!

Even has an alarm if you child releases the buckle! Neat.

Your car has to have the ISOFIX mounting points to be able to use this seat.

I emailed Maxi Cosi UK a few weeks ago, and they told me that due to the amount of interest being shown, they are planning to introduce a rear-facing non-isofix car seat for children aged 9months to 4 years (i think it is the Maxi Cosi Mobi, currently available in Sweden & other European contires).

However, they said the seat would cost in the region of £300 :w00t:

If you've got this kind of cash, the seats should be available around the end of September...

Hi
No you cant use this without the Isofix.
I bought it and then found my 18 month old car did not have Isofix. I exchanged the seat for another one.(Not as good in my opinion)
I phoned the helpline tel no on the argos car seat page at the bottom of the description to ask if i could use this seat with just the car seat belts (my husband thought that you could). Unfortunately they told me NO you cant install the seat this way, you can only install it with the Isofix catches in your car. Its a shame as this was a great seat, well badded etc and looked nice (even though its blue and we have a girl, the blue was a lovely colour)

Scary. You think your doing the right thing and then you read something like this.
The only problem is my 7 month old is still in her Travel system car seat (even though we have just purchased the next stage car seat 0 to 1) When installed in my car and reclined backwards it looks to me like the seat hags over the end of the car seat (that's why she is not in it yet) when she is 9 months old and we can turn the seat around even reclining the seat fits properly on my back seat and looks safer than when it is facing backwards.
At the moment though she look like her legs are too long for her travel system car seat, but she does not seem to mind this, dont think she is uncomfortable.

Great deal - Isofix is so much more solid than the seatbelt-based ones.

Our son at 7 months is not only too big for his rear facing seat but also finds it very boring and frustrating not being able to see anything and makes his feelings known. I am sure rear facing is safer but what does it do to a child's development to be string at the back of a car seat for many hours during a time when they will be naturally inquisitive? And of course I would have thought it would increase the likelihood of travel sickness - but then such things are harder to measure and we have to cotton wool our youngsters as much as possible after all.

]http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8094829.stmany thoughts?

I will always put my son in the safest carseat I can afford. Let's face it everyone hates using rear-facing carseats once a baby hits 6 months, but even big babies under a year old have weak neck muscles which aren't going to withstand a carcrash very well if their head is jerked forward suddenly. I'd rather have a bored baby than double the likelihood of a stretched or torn spinal cord in a crash.

Anyone know whether which have reported on this carseat?

I went to my local argos but they did not have any in stock. I was able to reserve one at another store, only to be told that the price was £99.99! I explained about where I had seen the deal and the lady went to check their website, etc, and said they had no such offer at any of their branches! Can anyone please tell me where they bought theirs with this offer?

Looks like they might be out of stock of these now. They must have been old models they were getting rid of? They have another on their site that looks identical, but is back at £99 like you say.
