I had 2 tyres fitted at Costco and was extremely impressed by their service compared the the Black Circles back street guys. They sorted out a rim that had been leaking for 2 years (having been back to the original fitter a few times).
Sorry but that's a stupid website they have. I wanted to find out whether it's worth it to become a member, because its £15 a year for, and then i checked for prices on Michelin tyres for my Peugeot 206 cc, i couldn't find a price anywhere on the site! So really, how do we know whether we're getting a good deal of not?
I hate websites like this, and then when you do get a membership you find out they've added stuff on top and it works out more expensive, complete rippoff

It's not the best website, but you will get a price on it (just make sure you select a fitting centre).
There are no add-ons if you call them (all new valves and recycling included) and you get things like tyre rotation (I once had a garage want to charge me £15 for the few minutes it would have taken to rotate my tyres) and nitrogen inflation all included. Nitrogen is generally an extra anywhere else. However, I did notice that the website is 'shipping only' with fitting an extra £8.40.
Costco is not always the cheapest, but it is one of the best places for tyres and fitting services.I don't always buy my tyres there, but I always check them first.

I compared it and it wasn't worth it compared to blackcircles. Unless you already have a membership.

Blackcircles also fit on the drive, so that is without factoring my time/petrol of driving to costco and back.

Sorry but you need to look into it further. It is an excellent website and excellent place to join (if you qualify) There guarantees are the best i have ever seen anywhere and i have used there guarantees many ties.
Basically on most items, they are guaranteed for ever, so if you are ever dissatisfied with a product you can take it back for a full refund. (some exceptions)
Also as for the membership
"“We will cancel and refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied,”
No brainer!!!
Also if you pay for executive membership and don't save more on your rebate than the cost of upgrade you get that back too.
The add "stuff" on top is VAT, that goes to hmrc, it is on most things you buy anyway.

Yeah this was more for people who already have memberships, I should have mentioned.
I once thought about joining Costco, I think Groupon were doing some kind of deal, but there was a list of occupations you had to have to be a member.

I suppose you can't be having people in the building trade, or any other kind of manual work, buying stuff at their warehouse.

You want to check if that is still the case. Think they may have changed their policy. I've been a member for years so haven't paid attention to this.

Just paid for 4 Michelin pilot sport 3s 225 40 18 Y on my golf R for £261......FANTASTIC!
Edited by: "MarkDavidWoodyatt" 27th Jun
Voted hot, however the tyre sizes are limited, they don't supply either my front or rear sizes.

And Pilot sport 3's on a Golf R? PS4's would have been a much better option. IMO

is it not the ps4's that costco fit?
They only had Ws in the 4s pal. So I took the 3s. More than happy as still a great tyre.
4 19" PS4s for £under £440.00 is a brilliant price.
SJ0125/06/2019 14:03

Sent yesterday Adrian.

Thanks SJ01, that info was just what i needed, although as soon as you posted me those prices a notification came through from eBay saying that they were offering a 20%(i think) off of certain sellers, which i could see the company My Tyres on it, i went through the process and found some Nexen Fera SU1s in my size, 205 45 16, a pair ended up costing £83 with free postage, incredible! But only on got a couple of weeks or days or something... Offered and am waiting for them to be delivered by the 3rd July, fingers crossed
Thanks for all your help, i might consider taking out a membership dog Costco because when I've been in one their prices seem really reasonable, we'll see, I'm one of those 'I'll do it, but I'll do it later' type of people, always changing my mind because i keep forgetting because of my meds :/

I didn't know that, flippin heck, too late now! And blackcircles came up all the time too, and if they had got involved in the eBay deal i would've bought from them, i hope mytyres offer some sort of service...
Anyone know if they fit on Sundays?

Yeah still an excellent tyre but older, were the ps4 W's the same price @£261?
I think they were cheaper.

you go to tyres, then enter reg or tyre size, then pick your local depot and you will get prices.

Put reg number in and it will pull up suitable tyres, sift through for ones you like.

Black circle's don't have own service stations!!!!
What a nonsense!

Yep, as far as I have used black circle they seem to use local independent tyre shops. In my area they were independents I was aware of and not “back street” garages. Also Costco always use black circles as a benchmark to price match against so they must be ok. I like Costco and it’s handy to get a good price, a good job and just give them your car keys , do a bit of shopping and pick your car up with tyres done.
However, calling the independents who fit black circles is just wrong, you should support local small businesses when you can.
I use a “back street” garage for my services and repairs I find they are much better than main dealers, more knowledgeable and always do a great job.

I have PS4 tyres on my wife’s s3, they are a lot better than the ps3 but they are £350 ish for 4. Alas they can’t do tyres for my rs3 saloon as they are a specific r02 spec

That’s not true. To say main dealers aren’t knowledgeable is ridiculous. I use independent garages for my old cars but main dealer for the Audi’s as the chief tech at our dealers is brilliant and far more knowledgeable than any other mechanic I know.

I'm sorry but you talking is not true.
Costco is a one of back street as well. Nothing like national or Kwik...
