Also, a matching 4 slice toaster @ £19.99, bringing total for both to £39.98.

does this has lid issues as lots of reviews say on Argos?

Thanks in advance

I wanted one of these kettles last year, especially as they were on offer in Argos (£19.99 then, I think) - my son went and bought me one for Christmas. I've had no problems with the kettle at all - and no issues with the lid - well worth buying one.

yep, me too, no issues whatsoever. Also inside the kettle are three little red tabs that are 1,2,3 cups level markers and are actually accurate - I know you are all keen on saving pennies

I too have this kettle - all good, except...
...the manual says the water gauge illuminates when switched on - it doesn't.
RH Customer Care told me it's not a fault with the kettle, but with the manual (apparently same manual for this and similar but more expensive models in the range)

Good stuff. Also good of Argos to send a fiver off code a couple of hours ago so £14.99 for me.

Get the kettle on for a cuppa, heat added

I dont drink tea or coffee, have the odd pot noodle now and again but rarely use my kettle, so why do i want to buy this?

Cheers t2h, great price

They sent me a £10 code a few weeks ago. So £6.99 after Quidco.

Heat added so kettle can get hot

Good brand, I have an older model of this kettle and still goin a few years later

Cold I'm after a toaster not a kettle!

YES Just got a replacement as the lid (after about 12 months) started opening with the steam pressure when almost boiled, this causes it to carrying boiling and not shutting automatically. This is my second replacement the other issue I had was with the on/off switch breaking after 10 months.

There's a matching 4 slice toaster that goes with this (click on link in op), but it's only rated 'solid performer' by Which.
If you're only after a two slice top performer you'd probably be better looking at this.

BUYER BEWARE!

Bought one last year. Failed in April. Just about to send it back to Amazon.

Beware the lid refuses to stay down on this. It only took 6 months for us for the lid catch mechanism to fail.

Make us a cuppa T2H. Heat added.

Bought the kettle and the toaster in red, used 2 £5 vouchers I had but took 20 off the total and bagged them for £19.98 by the looks of the email receipt, possible price glitch for someone else to try maybe. Anyways thanks OP for the post or probly wouldn’t have spotted 32446419-ociPD.jpg

I seem to recall I got a two-year warranty with mine, by registering on the RH website.

You are lucky..it broke down under warranty.
You should get a new one and a new 2 years warranty.
I love it when they replace my items before the warranty runs out.

Expensive way to boil water. Just stick a saucepan on the stove. There, saved you all £20!
No need to thank me

Picked this up for the same price in B&M Bletchley (Milton Keynes) last weekend. May be worth checking in your local if your Argos is sold out.

Heat added thanks.

Stupid boy

The water level indicator level on ours stopped working after a year. Also the lid isn't the best.

Russell Hobbs give TWO years warranty.

For those fretting about repairs etc, I always buy Which recommended, and I've bought some seriously expensive kettles in the past, but they always broke on something.

It's disappointing to say the least when an expensive item fails, but this is only £20 and has a two year warranty - plus it's rated higher than almost all the fancy expensive kettles.

Looks like a no brainer to me; picking mine up tomorrow, all the best to everyone else.

i have got that kettle

Must have missed the post about 5 above you where the OP stated it finished above more expensive kettles in the Which recommended, not to mention its only 20 quid and comes with a 2 year warranty. My last kettle was the black brillante Delonghi btw, cost £50 lasted little over a year.

Im affraid this only means they paid „Which?” more than the competition.

In my opinion of course.
