:-D

is that RRP correct??

It's a great price, I recently stopped buying John West anything though after finding out they were one of the few seemingly refusing to move to rod and line....think they have a bit of Ostrich syndrome.

'Rod and line' tuna fishing was shown on Blood, sweat and takeaways the other week. It may be good on dolphins etc but it sure sucks for the fishermen who work their a$$es off for £2 per day :?

No offence to hermanjelmet for posting the deal, but purchasing John West is one of the worst things you can do if you're after tuna. You simply cannot do much worse than to pick up a tin of John West at the supermarket. There are cheaper and better alternatives.

1) It's generally one of the more expensive brands

and

2) It is, according to Greenpeace (and a few other organisation) one of the companies with the worst overfishing practices in the UK.

Highly recommended are Sainsbury's tuna - responsibly fished and keenly priced so better value too.

I'm with you on the mayo and onion and potato

Prawns nice too

re: worst rated for environment and expensive; you'd have thought John West could compete very strongly on price considering their mass-indistriminate hauling practices, but no! It's a bad deal for everyone but the John West shareholders. Environment loses, consumer loses.
