why are people buying this ? can't understand
Like most things, if you like the look of something and you have the money you may choose to buy it.

the snes was a great console and has strong nostalgia value for people so they are buying it
My local sainsburys upton, Wirral had stock yesterday 12th December and are due more stock tomorrow 14th December. I got hubby one yesterday! It's his birthday in 3 weeks. So glad I finally got one!
OOS
I'm new to Smyth's but my order went through (unless I need to wait for a confirmation email)

Incorrect I paid £69.99 directly from Nintendo.

Because it’s anamazing console with some very playable games by today’s standards.

It’s a very detailed and likened replica of the original, some serious effort has been put into the keeping of its design and structure.

Its very easy to hack and add more SNES games to it by the way.

People buy them for the same reason people buy an E-Type Jag from the 60’s. It’s not new, it’s not particularly fast, it doesn’t have all the gizmos, but it’s enjoyoable for reasons known only to Jag lovers.

Same applies to Nintendo, and its fans

This is by definition incorrect.
Got this off the amazon truck last week for £69.99 so this is cold for me, seems all the other retailers trickle stock into stores to create the demand so they can charge an extra £10
So is the RRP £69.99 or £79.99 now ?

I picked mine up a while ago for £69.99, and have played with it a little. But going up to £79.99 is starting to stretch it.

Why do you keep saying this? The point is that it is scarce and hardly ever in stock. It's about supply and demand. I bought one for my kids at Christmas. Thanks OP.
