Usually £24.99. Cheap price for a handy back pack sprayer. Ideal for destroying all those nasty weeds who just love to grow thick and fast when it rains nearly every day! I think a good weed killer would cost more than the back pack itself.

My back pack is needing sprayed too

Good deal. Ordered. Hope it's ok. Anyone any recommendations for the best weedkiller to put in it?

If you have a Horticultural or Farm Suppliers close by,I used to use Grazon, IT KILLS WEEDS!...DEAD. Unfortunately my local supplier stocks an alternative one now which the name escapes me at the moment, it's as good as Grazon. I'm not a farmer and it was easy to purchase these stronger dilute down weed killers from a Farm's supplier warehouse.

Manufacturers Description: Grazon , A foliar acting herbicide for the control of perennial broad-leaved weeds including NETTLES, DOCKS, THISTLES, BRAMBLES, BROOM and GORSE in ESTABLISHED GRASSLAND.

Excellent. Cheers for that. I'll see if I can get some.

How many litres is the backpack sprayer? Doesn't say on the Screwfix site.

Seconded the buying of weedkiller from farm supplies places, although you'll probably have to sign for it. Grazon 90 is selective and used for clearing broad leaf weeds in pony paddocks without nobbling the grass. If you want the equivalent of Roundup (i.e glyphosate) the stronger agricultural equivalent goes under names like Clinic Ace. Note that the quantities will cover a very large area and it's sold in containers designed for locking away not being left in domestic sheds etc. and it's pretty nasty stuff.

Looked in my garage this morning and 'Clinic Ace' is the one I've been using since Grazon is no longer stocked by my local supplier. I use half a litre in my back back sprayer then fill nearly to the top with water. After two/three weeks from spraying Clinic ace the grass and weeds just curl over and shrivel up. Very good weedkiller.
