It's not a bad little game, especially if you are a fan of the movies. You can lose through bad dice roles but it's not too long a game so it's not as frustrating it could be.

You can lose through bad dice rolls?
isn't that pretty much the same for almost every board game?

Not these days with board games. They tend to lean more towards tactics and planning. Any game with dice obviously has a luck element but there should be strong mitigation against bad throws. It’s more Skyrim than snakes and ladders these days!

I was given this for Christmas. It is way too complicated and we've not managed to get started as a family, we gave up.

That's a different game, aimed at a younger audience.

I'd recommend watching the 'watch it played' video by Rodney Smith. A quick Google should find it. He's excellent at explaining games and it's really not that complicated once you get in to it.

Got this for my BTTF-loving (non-board-gamer) mum for her birthday last year.
She was very excited to play it.
We've played it a few times and love it. You do need to be familiar with the movies to fully enjoy it.
The actions make sense it terms of the Delorean moving, but there's enough going on for some strategy to be had.
    Recommended for the BTTF fan!

Also echo watching the you tube video. I had my head in my hands reading the instructions. Watched the video and it clicked. Have enjoyed playing
