Universal rare usually good about automatically upgrading people to 4K and 4K versions are coming soon

Universal are a a bit hit and miss. No 4K version of E.T., no 4K update to Jaws when it was released on disc a couple of weeks back.
Universal are the worst. They even pull movies and re-list them - which, while doesn't mean you can't play them. - you can go into your library, find them and hit play - but does mean when you ask Siri to watch the movie it takes you to a buy page.

I've bought the Back to the Future Trilogy and some of the Jurrassic Park films 2 or 3 times over the last ten years because I'm lazy and want it to work properly lol.

4K release for this trilogy was meant to be this summer but now delayed until later this year.

Just checked. Looks to be intact.

They didn't upscale Jaws

Majority of Universal films I owned already got upscales, maybe they’re being a bit meaner now :/

It might yet happen. The other Tom Cruise movies that got upgraded took a few weeks. Top gun. Days of thunder and war of the worlds not sure if any of those are also universal though.

All of the above are Paramount, not Universal sadly.
Universal has made Jaws on US iTunes available in 4K. Not sure if that was an upgrade or new listing. Presumably UK is just a matter of time.

Looking at CheapCharts history, they upgraded it.

That’s like saying don’t buy a bed because there was one included in that hotel room you just booked
