HMV are delighted to present the 'VHS Range', VHS era movies celebrated in a modern and fun limited edition Blu-ray/DVD package.

Each of these 12 titles (from Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures) feature a retro sleeve inspired by their original CIC VHS release.

The box is imprinted with a VHS cassette design, but with the height of a DVD to ensure it fits on shelf. Inside are copies of the movie on both Blu-ray, and DVD featuring cassette reel disc art*. They also include a fold out replica theatrical poster, bubblegum card and sticker.

All titles are Limited Edition so hurry while stocks last!

As long as people keep buying them....

What a load of old crap this package is. The concept is crap. I can get on board with the Disney Laserdisc sized packages but video tapes were neither big enough to be pretty nor small enough to be elegant.
.
The execution is pretty rubbish too. Cassette reel design?!? I know VHS tapes had cassette reels but under normal circumstances the only way you'd see them like this would be to take the cassette apart.
I don’t even have a BR Player but I feel like I need this
Wonder how many people buy it to get a VHS video ???????
Who in their right mind would buy this load of old tat?*

* David Dickinson (2017)
How is this a good idea ?
I was kind of interested when I thought it was all 3 films.
Or sign up for a free Netflix trial and watch them.
What about the laser disc lovers?

But it will be worth £18.99 on ebay in 2 years time
Yes, Ebay is a great place for selling off old tat.
Tesco's were a far better deal for the 3 films "laserdisc" packaging at £5.
Bought 6 different one's for £30.
Thought this was all 3 films at first, which would have been reasonable value. But £15 for one film is expensive
Great Scott!!!!

Went ice cold on both occasions, obviously there's a lot of cool millennial hipster types on here this morning that think this tat is cool!

I feel so stupid. I thought it was actually a VHS tape. Didn't realise it was just a tape package with Blu-Ray disks inside.
Shame there is no 4K version yet of this

Well I like it. Never thought I'd get all nostalgic over VHS style boxes

The execution is terrible. The box design doesn't match the original (no C&C logo, wrong colour stripes), UK VHS also almost always came in big plastic clamshell packaging (card sleeves were mostly a US thing).

However most Videos did have visible reels. It was a quick way to see if something needed rewinding or not
My favourite film, but this is the same old stuff just repackaged AGAIN
Don't know why this is hot. Brilliant movie, but the price is outrageous

Thank you for your opinion.
People can moan but personally i love the look of these. I pre ordered all 12 (2 for £25) and received yesterday.

It's a nice retro design for sure on the slipcase. The inner case is a hard vhs looking case with discs, poster, card and sticker inside.

These aren't for anyone other than collectors. Also im glad i ordered Scarface because it was pulled from sale right before release and won't be sold in store so i already very rare! All because of a spelling error on the case and poster.
I was quite keen on these when they were announced as I'm a sucker for nostalgic rereleases and this range includes some of my favourites. However, I saw these in HMV yesterday and they look so cheaply made with absolutely no design on the opposite side of the spine. They almost feel like pirate videos where they keep prices down by including as little artwork as possible. Not good. This has also been the standard price since they were announced.
These should be ‘erased from existence

Aye, you'd only see about a quarter of them though, not the whole reel.
thanks
