Grainger Games has "new" copies in stock for £34.99 but it's Grainger Games so you'd be trying your luck. With Amazon on the other hand, you're guaranteed to received a brand new sealed copy.

SMT IV: Apocalypse goes for usually £40 or more.

cant recommend this enuf , best turn based rpg ever and its pokemon for adults.

Be warned people once you buy this you'll be addicted to the persona/ megami tensei games

That seems like a regular price.

I had this pre-ordered with Zavvi for months - still sitting at awaiting stock pick with them. Seems to have been very few copies supplied into the uk.

Well, you can try Grainger Games and then let me know if they shipped you a sealed copy.

I'm giving Zavvi until tomorrow to see if the status changes then I'll be looking to buy elsewhere. I've bought 'new' from Grainger once before but the item received wasn't a sealed copy, then again Game tends to do the same thing and remove the original seal so they can stick one of their own seal labels on them.

Is it best to have played the earlier versions first or is it ok to play this first.

wow, what the what?! paid £28 a few weeks ago on release day and that was top money as far as i'm concerned and i'm a huge shin megami everything fan. This is genuinely a terrible price. (i know find it cheaper etc is the hukd go to reply) but only pay this if you are desperate for it. That person selling at £40 odd pounds on the amazon marketplace is a chancer/borderline scalper that's not the baseline price. Its only been out 3 weeks and it wasn't £40 on release.

Stock everywhere was low not because people pounced on it but because Deep silver didn't do a very good job and grossly underestimated the print run needed. Hardly anywhere had a great number of copies to sell, i had to scramble for mine.

Don't think its gonna be the next cave story 3ds and panic buy now, just wait if you can it will come back to £27/28 odd soon enough keep checking other retailers. Sorry spasho, keep posting though!

you can still get 4 on the eshop its used to be under a tenner not sure atm. That's the only one i'd recommend playing first if your considering this game but tbh you ll be fine regardless.

7th Dragon is out of stock at a reasonable price too. QQ

Worth backordering 'cause for £34.99 you can't go wrong with these games that don't lose their value.

365 Games is a bit dodgy. They sell Australian copies without advertising it.

Not had a chance to play, but if its as good as people say, it won't be a game to trade in so may be worth considering the digital copy, £35 on eshop

Aussie games are still Euro versions. I bought Animal Crossing on GC from CDWOW for an Aussie copy when Nintendo were still being stubborn despite it being out in a PAL region

Doesn't matter that it's PAL. Collectors buy games specifically from a website for that one version and not for any PAL edition.

Aussie versions of some games are worth tons. Look it up.

Yeah, but I prefer PAL UKV.

This game seems to be quite uncommon already

low early print run by a tentative deep silver. More stock is coming, its not going to be rare.

You reckon? I'm only asking how out of politeness as I do collect so tend to buy a lot of these at release but this one slipped by me. Don't want to get stung! Thanks

yeah the pre order was generally fluffed at most retailers due to stock, release day was not great. This is their first time doing shin megami games (afaik) after Atlus ducked out in Europe earlier last year. Most probably just testing the water although with all the people on twitter practically begging for an eu release they probably could have risked putting out a few more initial copies. Pester retailers who will then put through more orders. They are still somewhat niche 3ds titles as know.

For everyone: Its just out of stock in most places, not i repeat not out of print. Its only 3 weeks old. oh and happy new year!

Hope you're right but even after coming back in stock the prices will stay about the same.

Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and etc are still £30+ for new copies.

Thats just the amazon price, they rarely have decent prices for 3ds games its rrp or even in this case above that. Nintendo's own titles dont drop until Nintendo want them too (your fav selects range being the vehicle)

Some games dont move much but £35 is too much for a game that at release 3 weeks ago was sub £30 on other sites. like I said low stock everywhere is the problem, and when it is back in stock it wil be cheaper (elsewhere) or im not the golden god I think I am.

temporarily out of stock at that price.

It's not just at Amazon but pretty much everywhere. Argos are around the same prices.

Smash 3DS is OoS news on Amazon but available on the Nintendo Store for £39.99. Overpriced for a 3DS game but it's there.

Anyway, it's good that the games don't lose their value.

2nd place i would never buy games from is Nintendo themselves right after Amazon. Both have terrible pricing. £35 is a bad price for this oos or in stock anywhere. It will be cheaper than this at other retailers when its back in stock honestly spasho. (just in case you haven't bought from amazon yet)

Buying it for between £27.99-£34.99 really doesn't make a difference, imo.

Hows this game compared to Persona 4? Just finishing up on all the games

I don't know man... That £7 goes a long way towards another videogame.

I'm interested in this title, but will wait until it's hovering around the £20 mark - if it ever gets there.

Ordered a copy from grainger games on the 1st, didn't look promising (order sat at 'order processing' until yesterday when I got a dispatch email), however delivered today and was a sealed copy - uk pal edition.
