Baconnaise (bacon flavoured mayo) £3.50 in Tesco

Found 15th Mar 2013
Saw this product on an American website a few years ago and thought I'd never be able to get my hands on it, partially due to me having no desire to step foot on American soil.

Imagine my suprise when I discovered that they now have a well stocked American section right next to the Polish section which is where I spied this beauty.... I mean, who wouldn't want bacon flavoured mayo...right????

*Before anyone says "actually, I'm a vegetarian and I live on salads, fresh air and rubbery meat free slices, I'm pleased to announce that this product is vegetarian friendly.

* = No horse content too for anyone even thinking about digging those old jokes up - don't even think about it!

Vegetarian bacon mayonnaise. I'm a total carnivore but that sound absolutely disgusting. What size jar do you get for the bargain price of £3.50?

I'm sure there are much nicer & better for you things you could get or better still make yourself. What is actually in it? Fat & salt, no bacon then! Not for me but interesting, thanks :-)

Slighty off topic, but has anyone else tried Hershies American chocolate kisses and noticed a distinct aftertaste of vomit. Gross!

Yup!!! Vile!!!!

Hershies, vile. I returned mine to the shop as I thought it was off, they said that's the correct taste. Vomit! I buy the shops own brand dark chocolate 30p per 100g fantastic for cooking and eating on its own. No fancy wrapping but still taste good.
Still can't get my head around Baconnaise!
Enjoy if you try it.

If you think Baconnaise (note spelling, OP) is weird, try these... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Uncle-Oinkers-Savory-Bacon-Mints/dp/B0017T0X9G

These were probably eaten just before signing off the taste of the Hershey's (note spelling) - they are absolutely disgusting!

can someone find Horse flavoured-mayo plz..........???????

Some of you should try it before voting, someone bought me this for Christmas as a joke and its actually really nice. I've let friends try it who equally pulled their faces until they put it in their mouths.
Its not exactly bacon flavoured, more a slightly savoury mayonnaise with a subtle smoky flavour. My Jar is half gone so I'll be off to Tesco in a minute

Mmmm dead pig flavored veggi creamy dip

Winning formula. It's also kosher. But I don't think it's halal.

What was wrong with my spelling? it's the same as yours!

My Tesco Extra doesn't have an American section. This doesn't really convince me that's a bad thing

I actually make a synthetic bacon flavour. Nasty.
