Improve your badminton with this superb Wilson Force Racque

LOL.

The expensive part isnt the racket - its the hire of the leisure centre for an hour

matalan are doing one half price from £3.50 at the mo so £1.75. Its 2 rackets actually and 2 shuttlecocks, only a cheap thing but unless you want it for professional use it does the job!

cheapest price for this racquet most likely but as jazid says costs £3 an hour or so to play so id rather get one costing a little more as total/running costs would be almost same anyway.
hot though.

Professional use, as in paid to play/teach badminton? LOL

Thanks for clearing that up. So the GB Olympic Badminton team need not apply then....

£3 are u mad?! hubby n me hired out a court for £11.75 last week!!!!!!!!!! yep one hour midweek!:w00t:

Good spot - voted hot.

Sounds jolly pricey £11.75 mid-week. Ouch !
Could be worth joining a badminton club; ours is £3.50 p/h (not sure how much it would be normally)

not too mad. doubles playing here for an hour is £3 each = £12 per hour but i dont factor their costs into my racquets
Seems our local (council) place is just per person though so if playing singles then just £6/hr combined. Perhaps your place is busier so needs to charge per court to maximise revenue.

Madddnesss. I hire out courts at UEA Sportspark for £2 off peak (10-4 & 8-10:30ish weekdays, all weekend) and £4 on peak. True that is with a student discount (not for studying at UEA) but even without one it's only £5 off peak and a little more on peak.

nice find! i have to pay £1.25 each time i wanna hire a racket out at my local sports centre!

I once had a dog called Minton who ate shuttlecocks...

Bad Minton.

a £10 racket really isn't going to improve your standard unless you had one of the original 'fishing net' wooden woolworths rackets....

actually go for the other deal...two rackets and shuttlecocks and a bag to carry it all for 8.99

not bad if u buying for ur partner/friend.....

dunno if thats outta stock?!

wow u guys get some good deals...we arent a member of the club (its just a dirty sports centre!) so we pay non member prices! hey ho..... we dont play often.... if we did might become members...?!

Back when I was a junior at a club it used to be £1 for 2 hours Even though they didn't run it for profit, I'm surprised they broke even, with the amount of feather cocks we used to get through lol!

Heh even when I joined somewhere else a couple of years back, it was only £3 for 2 hours. Guess it depends where u live, but join a club!! You can't afford to practise if paying rip-off prices for one-off sessions plus the fact you won't have any structure or lessons to improve your game
