I would guess it's because not many folk want or need 20Kg of rice.

i don't buy nor cook rice so can't comment, but certainly looks cheap.

Goodness gracious me! Very good deal. Thanks for the post.

Went to Tesco. Could not find these anywhere. All I saw is the 10kg Rozana Veetee basmati for £11.99. The badhshah rice are not reduced as far as I could see, they seemed to be the normal price according to the ticket and they are not VEETEE. Didn't bother going to the scanner with them as it was a 20 kg bag:oops:

This is a very good buy! Yeah Tilda may be good but im sorry, you will NEVER see Tilda this cheap.
This rice however I can vouch for. We used to get the 20kgs bags of this from Costco.
Since rice has shot up, its bout nearly £30 for 20kgs of this stuff.

Good find matey

Hahaha thats abit too far for me to travel! lol
Ive added heat on this one for you lol.

Yeh im thinking of trading my brabus in for a Brabus RCR. I love that 2 seater

people with big store rooms and eaters of rice 3 times a day will love this plus restaurant owners.

I saw those, but they were the normal price. Maybe no one updated the price ticket. There was only one bag left in my Tesco of the badshah rice pictures above and I got a bit confused coz I couldn't see veetee written on them
I got this on veetee.com/foo…=15 10kg for £11.98

I wouldn't say either of these deals is especially cheap considering rice used to cost around 50p/kg before the sharp price hike and secondly, in the pakistani supermarkets it's possible to buy 20kg for around £20 of decent quality rice day in day out

I agree with Zaheer. This is a great deal as far as HUKD goes - so heat added (and those vital Tesco points).

However, if you are confident enough to go into asian areas and shop (easier if you are asian!) - this price is about par. Good, but not 'hot' if you know what I mean. Nevertheless - keep 'em coming, well done for posting!

Don't know exactly where you live, but here, I see pakistani's, indian's, eastern eurpoeans, whites, blacks and chinese shopping in all the pakistani supermarkets and it's no more hard for them as it is for me. I go there for the milk, 3L for £1.50, the asian veg, flour, rice and the fruit is cheaper and better than in any other the big supermarkets ala Tesco.

Nice find! Good Price!! Heat added!!!

Confident? Erm, lots of people shop in the Asian stores around here - and it's not about par at all - 5kg of rice will set you about £8 as a guide, it doesn't seem to get much cheaper, 10kg being £16 or so.

Rice should be £1/kg in most ethnic shops. Not a bad price (esp compared with what supermarkets normally charge) but not a good price. It's seriously worth going to your local chinese/ similar shop as other things are cheaper too (eg chilli sauce etc) and you tend to have a wider choice (eg thai fragrant rice or smaller 12kg bags)

just grabbed a bag for £5 in asda
