Added some heat; gawd knows what's in it but the BOC at Boffer is a wee bit of fun and like you say Groutch, generally worth a punt

I remember all the videos people posted on youtube. It was generally one or two good items, with the rest being stuff that should really be put in the bin and often multiple numbers of the crap item.

last BOC i ordered I got a about 70 blank DVD's or CD's wrapped in cling film. Dont know what they exactly because they were all scratched and covered in dust, even the middle ones. Some at the top were cracked too. Ridiculous. It was literally like they swept the floor of their warehouse, and put the contents into my BOC.

Also got a really cheap laptop bag and a set of poundshop oil paints. So no, I shall not be boffering this time.

If anyone wants a BOC I can send them one for £6

- a dog walker has left one dangling in a bush just down the road

I have had some good stuff out of these in the past, got a sat nav once :-D laptop bags, dvds, cds, all sorts .

i regret it almost everytime, yet again i bought one tho.

never ever got this, 8 quid to basically enter a comp to maybe get something decent. Cold from me.

This is exactly as described so why people pay money to be ripped off is amazing:?

i got some great stuff in the past - only little useful odds and ends like a surge protector plug thingy and a new 100 DVD-r spindle, but never anything big like the sat navs or projector that time, or tv etc etc.

I too got the wake board, ended up car booting it to these two surfer girls headed to Cornwall lol. Also got a battered 1st gen ipod nano which had had it once, oh and an mp4 player which works fine via the speaker but only in 1 ear when headphones are plugged in....

Anyway - didnt these used to be about a fiver, or even 2.99??

£8 for a BOC, bit of a rip off to me!

I bought this once.....nothingof any use whatsoever in the package. It really is not worth it!

:-D :w00t: :gift:

:santa: Always worth a go at Christmas:p

Yeah, I'm not going to go for it, tho I'll be interested to hear what people got, tho they really go all out in covering their backs...

"We make absolutely no promises about the quality or the desirability of these bags or their contents, except to promise that their quality will be low and their desirability will be non-existent. We will take your hard earned cash and send you literal crap in return. You have been warned."

That's Ratners quality salesmanship, and sounds like it works too!

There's always a chance of winning the £200.

No sh*t!

I did do some browsing on youtube for the 'bag o crap' videos and while it seems you almost always get more than a fiver's worth of stuff, even if it's not actually useful to you, I did have to feel sorry for the guy who got two MP3 players and some discs and dvd cases, to find out both MP3 boxes were utterly empty!

I'd rather not get a box at all than get something looking nice that's empty.

to balance it out tho, I did see the video of the guy who got a nice range of stuff then was told they'd missed a bit, and sent him a LCD screen the next day also!

So yeah, sure it's a gamble, but it all comes down to whether you can afford to lose £8 on a heap of junk in the hope of something better! From what I saw most people got £8 worth of blank discs alone, or £10 worth of Belkin Surge Protector or an iPod speaker, so seems the majority of people do ok, but I'll see if any more feedback comes from those who ordered from here, and maybe I'll join in next time!

I presume that you also believe in fairies!:p

This is the same type of con that has gone on many times down the years. Mock auctions etc etc.

Let people's greed overcome their rationality and you'll make a fortune! "Just think....it could be you!"

Jeez, at least your lottery money goes to good causes rather than straight into the pockets of these con merchants:whistling:

I dunno, so much, mock auctions got a bad name really quickly, and now we're in the age of the internet, I'd imagine Boffer's bag of crap deal would be around the heat of Pluto in winter, if it was a consistent rip off.

I sense it really is an easy way for Boffer to empty their shelves of all the stuff that's end of line, returned, or not worth relisting on the site, and this way they can offload it, make a few quid back, and hopefully keep MOST people happy.

I don't for a moment expect to be the ONE person who gets a TV or projector or the like, but to me, if I get 50discs or an extension lead, along with some assorted nonsense, I'd be happy, as that's kinda the point of 'lucky dip'

Also they never for a moment try to pretend everyone's getting a 'gold watch' or anything, you're genuinely being offered a few bits of old nonsense they have no use for , and you might get lucky.

HAS anyone received theirs from this time around? I'm nosey as to what came in the 3 items this time instead of it being a full box of crap. I'm suddenly rather concerned how bad it might have been now people have voted it so cold!
