What a sad comment! I fed my dog this and never again he gets the best dog food plus all the extra the kids feed him! He's a member of our family aswell not just the dog!

This stuff is just cereal no real food in it!

Do your research on this brand !! its the worst variety of food available feeding your dogs this crap will not only do there insides no good it will make them lethagic and over weight later in life.

And you say its a dog at the end of the day , a dog in a family is just like a child the dog depends on you as to what it is fed, if you wouldnt feed your kids crap everyday why should your dog be made to eat this crap everyday?

It has been said several times. how many times does it need to be said. Do your research before you feed your dog. People are not saying this stuff is crap for no good reason. They like many other responsible dog owners know it is their responsibility to care for the welfare and well being of their pet. In actual fact if you buy and feed your dog high end food it will work out cheaper for you as the dog needs less kibble because it is high end protein and vitamin content to keep them fit and healthy. The cheap stuff like Bakers/Wagg etc is lacking or missing essential health ingredients altogether. Don't bury your head in the sand. Read and research and you will be doing your beloved dog the best favour. oO

my pet is 100% healthy after eating for 7 years has no problems so why should I stop feeding it to him

Ok here is a few of the ingredients in the food you take a read and tell me if you would still feed your "2 grand dog" that crap food

E320 - has been found to be tumour-producing when fed to rats. In human studies it has been linked with urticaria, angioedema and asthma.

E321 - BANNED for use in food in Japan, Romania, Sweden, and Australia. The US has BANNED it from being used in infant foods. So bad McNasty's have voluntarily eliminated it from their products.

E310 - BANNED from children's foods in the US because it is thought to cause the blood disorder methemoglobinemia

E172 - BANNED in Germany
...
E132 - Can cause skin sensitivity, a rash similar to nettle rash, itching, nausea, high blood pressure and breathing problems. One of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children. PROHIBITED in Norway.

Any responsible dog owner would never feed a dog something they would not feed there children and as you will see from the list i gave you you certainly would not feed your children these ingredients....

Im not having a go im just saying do your homework i work with dogs full time and dogs that use this food are much harder to train as they become lethargic and less responsive due to the ingredients.....

Feeding a high end brand may seem more expensive at the time of buying but in the long run it will work out cheaper as they eat less and also the vet bills later in life will be dramatically reduced

Bakers...the equivalent of feeding McDonalds throughout the dog's life Really not good!

Mine are fed more expensive stuff nowadays, but for a relatively cheap food you could do far worse than Skinners Duck & Rice, everything is at least named, good for sensitive dogs and ingredients list looks decent. Wouldn't recommend all Skinners food as some doesn't look great, but myself and friends have had good experiences with this one.

Can even get it cheaper elsewhere with research, e.g. GJW Titmuss...

Omg why do people but in on other people's business. This is about offers not opinions. I think you should keep them to yourself and don't diss what other people do, unless of course it has some impact in your life, which it doesn't

When it's about animal welfare, surely people should appreciate useful information if they don't already know it. The comments about the poor ingredients, colourings etc in Bakers aren't opinions, they're facts...even a rep for the company that sells it admitted that the food is utterly awful!! If I was feeding something potentially harmful to my dog, and life-shortening, I'd be glad of the information so that I could look at alternatives with a greater understanding of what I'm looking for.

The 'heat' is about offers/deals, hence I haven't voted hot or cold on this as the price may be fine...but the comments section is just that...for COMMENTS!!

Well said its a about the deal not your views

Not a very good deal if (in the longer term) your dog gets diabetes, kidney problems, thyroid disease, etc. Voted cold.
