Purchased a tin the other day...and as we speak have a pumpkin pie cooling.

Seen you can use these with some pre made cake mixes too. Think you'd have to look up 3 ingredient cakes, some use pumpkin some use a can of pop. Not had the chance to try yet mind.

As in look them up on youtube. Think it's the betty Crocker mixes you can use them with.

Got some Pumpkin Spice Baileys in asda yesterday and it tasted quite nice in a coffee last night, a nice cinnamon kick to it. Other than that, I've never tasted pumpkin. It comes from the same squash family as marrow, cucumber, butternut etc. Does it not have a "squashy" taste to it?

Pumpkin pie with double cream: ohhhhh yes.

Although this canned stuff is called pumpkin it is actually a mixture of any kind of squash, there'll be some butternut in it.

Pumpkin does taste like squash, but it's very nice! Not to everybody's taste and to be honest the "pumpkin spice" flavour things actually taste very little of pumpkin and mainly just of the spices typically added to it (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg etc)

I dislike squash but pumpkin pie or even pumpkin soup with spices are delicious. New Covent Garden do a reaaaaaally nice one.
