You could always photoshop him holding a spud

The potato looks a bit plasticy!
Heat & Rep done for the deal of the century

But you cant see the spuds- they are covered by the shorts

A box of 40 Jackets costs £4.80 wholesale. Not knocking the deal or anything....just chucking my two pence in....:)

I generally wouldn't want 40 jacket potatoes hanging around my kitchen at any one time - voted hot

You can put potatoes in a sack rather than have to hang them.

how is this a deal? The SEL label was just wrong, therefore customer service gave £2 gift card. There are always SELs wrong at the ASDA where I work.

Not exactly a deal...

TY op - a good tip though, usually I don't bother to go back in for misprices. x

I agree as ive pointed out wrong prices for things ive paid for in Asda previously and never been given a gift card so the chances of getting more than your 27p back are slim id say so not exactly a deal

so what has the NBA got to do with potatoes?

well u should its their policy - as for it!

It's not their policy, though. It's completely discretionary for CS as to whether they give you a £2 card or not. Some times in the past I've got it; other times I haven't. More often than not, I don't get it.

Whilst I would always encourage everyone to go to the CS desk to claim back anything overcharged, there's no guarantee whatsoever that you'll also get a £2 card. As such, this isn't really a reliable deal.

This isn't a deal - it's just a mis-price.

Whenever you bring this to the attention of the store's customer service, they should take action such as removing or amending the erroneous price label (s)

It most definitely is the company policy. It is documented in the little free Asda book thats given away by the tills.
My friends and I drive the customer services mad at the Asda near our work, as there is little else to do at lunch other than activley seek out misprices, then we go on mass to each collect our £2's.

They will however never volunteer the £2, you do have to ask for it...and if they claim to have no knowledge of it, simply demand to see the store manager....then fire off an email to head office informing them of your experiences, and they send you an apology and a five pounds card....this isnt policy, but the £2 is.

Oddly, the £2 used to be on the website, but it no longer is....though it is still still in the booklet.
