I bought one of each of these for our son and daughter, they are great, excellent value for the money.
(I got ours from Rutland cycles too - same price but no helmets at the time).

Our children are 4 years old btw and these are just small enough for them, and look like they'll last a bit of growing.

don't get them, buy a real bike then once they learn to balance on that they can learn to pedel on it and actually bike around on it.

Not good advice.

Learning to balance on something they know they need to pedal will make them try both at once, sure, but in my experience will hinder their progress. A pedal bike can't be used as a balance bike as the pedals get in the way. You can remove the pedals if you're so inclined, which would effectively give you a balance bike.

Balance bikes may have a short life span in your child's progress to a full bike which would be good news, but many struggle and are even put off for a much longer time.

Just my 2 penneths, based on 3 children's experiences. If you were lucky with your children (if you have them) then well done them.

As I say, my son (2 and a half) loves his balance bike. I don't know if it's the best way for him to learn to ride, but seeing the fun he has on it and the way he steers and balances, I consider it a great purchase (his bike is a PUKY). He can go 5 miles on it no problem, which i think is amazing. He'd get so bored in his buggy or it would take a lifetime with him walking. I get such a kick out of seeing him on it, chasing pigeons, pulling the front up to mimic a wheely etc etc
