Ok. This wont be for everyone but I love the look of this Ball watch and would get it had I not bought the Engineer II yesterday from this site when it was 30% off the Outlet sale.

Use 15OFF to bring the price down and dont forget TCB/Quidco.

Cracking price for a Ball watch.

Just don’t do what I did, which was buy one then go on eBay looking for a leather strap. The search term ‘Ball leather strap’ results in lets just say interesting results

That crown protection seems a bit OTT, and I'm not sure what those gas tubes will look like in real life, but I suppose this represents pretty good value for a massively over-engineered Swiss Made watch.
That is one stupid looking crown and I would imagine pretty uncomfortable to wear.

Similar to Uboat, who put their crown on the other side so it doesn’t dig in to the back of your hand
Yes true, its a good price but not sure why the designers think that this would be a selling point or something that would be comfortable to wear daily. Maybe I am wrong.

I like Ball watches, but I agree, that crown guard will dig right in my hand.
Nice watch I think a different colour strap would make me want it tho. Not keen on this one. Heat for the deal.
I like the rubber version of this
The good thing about Automatic Ball watches is their anti magnetic properties they are not as susceptible to magnetic fields as most Auto watches.
Really lovely watch at a fantastic price.

As regards the crown guard being uncomfortable, it entirely depends how you like to wear your watch. If, like me, you prefer to wear your timepieces above the wrist bone then the signature Ball crown guard won't be a problem for you.

Great find. Heat added.
I don't like where the date is, it would have looked better left out. Heat for the price though.

Perhaps they do LH & RH versions of their watches.
Good spec, Swiss made (US company), COSC certified and Tritium etc. BUT, the crown guard is truly awful and being a lefty would be a nightmare to wear. Also...that brand name! Sorry Ball, but I couldn't face wearing a watch with that word plastered on the dial.

The crown with guard has never been an issue for me. The tritium tubes are not as bright as most watches regular lume, but obviously dont fade out like lume either. Yes it is extremely well made.39705723-D2XET.jpg
If anyone ever reads this...I wish I'd have waited and brought this instead of the Engineer II!! £200 more but well worth it
