Needs to be under £30 a stick for me to bite
any disadvantage in using 4 sticks instead of 2? apart from filling all the slots

The days of cheap ram might be over soon. Apparently they are expecting price rises on ram. And SSD over the next few weeks/ months.

source? i know it likely to go back up due to japan and other reason but never heard anything that say it will change in few weeks
I wouldn't. 2x16GB Crucial DDR4 3000cl15 e-die modules (look for AES in the product name) will likely clock higher with tighter timings, with the added benefit of dual-rank, and without the losses associated with double the number of modules. Optimistically, the Crucials should offer some 15% better performance than these, for only £20 or so extra.

The problem with this is 2 x 16GB Crucial e-die costs £150+ now, it seems all the traffic and purchases of this ram has increased the price (which if I were Amazon etc. I would too). I went with 16GB again although 32GB sounds nice to have I don't think it will be mandatory for a few years yet if used just for gaming.

Just Google it and you'll see plenty of people covering this.

It will be weeks depending on supply and current stock Holdings etc.

Lower RAM overclocking head room. CPU overclocks might be reduced as well
