This normally retails around the £32 mark. The taste is the Whisky equivalent of strawberries and cream. Online as well as instore.

Bought a bottle of this for myself to help me through the Bank holiday.

This is one of my favourite malts, however ASDA routinely sell it at this price.

Not voting either way, it's a good price for a good malt but I'm not convinced its a 'deal'.
I routinely search the Whisky aisle of Asda every week on behalf of a friend who is unable to get to the shops himself, and I have never seen this at sub £30 pounds before.
Oh well, we'll have to agree to differ. I never pay more than £30 for a bottle of malt and always have a bottle of Doublewood in the drinks cabinet..............
Got a bottle of this last Christmas. Very distinctive flavour, I thought it was a little harsh on the palette for my taste, especially for such a single Malt of this calibre.

No problem, I have a Whisky wish list and Doublewood is always on it.

Interesting. Any suggestions for future purchases? I've tried quite a few Malts, but I do have a liking for the Doublewood.
Just got a bottle for fathers day. Thanks.

Well personally I think Jura is an excellent single malt, very smooth, honey like flavour. Goes down like liquid gold! Auchentoshan is also very nice, less easy on the palette than Jura but very likeable. Glenmorangie 10 Year I'd also delicious very fruity and spicy but nice. I tend not to like the overly smokey malts like glenfiddich but it's all personal preference of course. ich

Had the Jura and agree, Auchentoshan I haven't tried, but there's still time. To be honest I like Glenfiddich over Glenmorangie. As you say it's all personal preference.

Thanks for the reply.
