Band Of Brothers HBO Complete Series (Commemorative 6-Disc Gift Set In Tin Box) Blu-RayPlease note this is a region B Blu-ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-ray player in order to play.

"From this day to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother." From Academy Award winners Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, HBO presents the story of Easy Company - an elite team of U.S. paratroopers whose WWII exploits are as incredible as they are true. Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band Of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band Of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elite rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered vast casualties, and whose lives became legend. They were ordinary men, swept up in the most extraordinary conflict in history. With the eyes of the world upon them, they found their greatest source of strength in one another. Episodes Comprise: 1. Currahee 2. Day Of Days 3. Carentan 4. Replacements 5. Crossroads 6. The Pacific (Commemorative 6-Disc Gift Set In Tin Box) Blu-RayPlease note this is a region B Blu-ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-ray player in order to play.

Executive produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, The Pacific is an epic ten-part miniseries from HBO and the team that made Band of Brothers.

The Pacific tracks the intertwined real-life stories of three U.S Marines, Robert Leckie, John Basilone and Eugene Sledge across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theater during World War 2. The miniseries follows these men and their fellow Marines from their first battle with the Japanese on Guadalcanal, through the rain forests of Cape Gloucester and the strongholds of Peleliu, across the bloody sands of Iwo Jima and through the horror of Okinawa, and finally to their triumphant but uneasy return home after V-J Day.

The Pacific is primarily based on two memoirs of US Marines, Eugene Sledge's With The Old Breed: At Peleliu And Okinawa and Robert Leckie's Helmet For My Pillow. The series also draws on Eugene Sledge's China Marine and Chuck Tatum's Red Blood, Black Sand, as well as original interviews conducted by the filmmakers.

The last price posted on here, when I searched was £15.99 on the 27 March. That got 700+ heat. So thought it might be worth posting, I didn't search further back than that. Now though, I see it has been cheaper at some point.

I paid a silly price for it when it first came out, I've still not gotten around to watching it. The other one Pacific, was a good series.

That's almost criminal! Cancel all weekend engagements. And get on it. Ironically, I wasn't that impressed with Pacific. But, BoB... now that's off the scale

I paid £12.99 about 18 months ago... and I’ve seen it for £10...

and I still haven’t watched it!!!! I’m terrible. It WILL happen soon!
Getting nostalgic. I remember the good old HUKD days when every other deal was Band of Brothers or The Pacific
Ended up buying the BoB/Pacific combined collection from Amazon for 24.99, when these came round last month. Doesn't come in a tin box but does have all the extras.

New one out next year I believe. The Crazy 8’s or something, about a fighter plane squadron operating out of England

I too thought the Pacific was a weak production with a poor lead character.( The love interest bored me)
This actually happened for real!
