Witness the horror and courage of World War II from both the Pacific and European fronts with this special collection featuring the Emmy(R)-winning 10-part miniseries' 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific.'

Band of Brothers
Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elite rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered 150 percent casualties, and whose lives became legend.

The Pacific
From the team behind the Emmy;- and Golden Globe;-winning HBO miniseries Band of Brothers comes The Pacific: an epic ten-part miniseries that tracks the intertwined odysseys of three U.S. Marines - Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge and John Basilone - across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theater during World War II. These men, along with other Marines, are tracked from their first battle on Guadalcanal in 1942, through the rain forests of Cape Gloucester and strongholds of Peleliu, across the bloody sands of Iwo Jima and Okinawa and, finally, to their triumphant but uneasy return home after V-J Day in 1945.

Synopsis
From executive producers Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Gary Goetzman the two critically acclaimed 10-part HBO Miniseries Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

Both on Now Tv if I recall correctly. Fantastic television, Band of Brothers one of the very best.
The Pacific, whilst not as good, had a few cracking episodes.
BOB one of the best series ever in my opinion.

CURRAHEE!

It's good, just don't compare it to Bob... Also the main character simply has an annoying voice, and can't act unfortunately!

Spend the money on a kodi box?

Excellent series, definitely worth £20 for both.
Two great series, can’t wait for the airforce one that Spielberg and Hanks come out with next

There's no 4k version to upgrade to as far as I'm aware, it was finished in 1080

It’s been knocking about for years. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer until we actually get it. Band of brothers especially is absolutely fantastic.

Are newsgroups still a popular thing?

I was using them many years back and hitting around 650GB a month downloading films - that was back when most people only had a couple of meg internet connection and a 300GB hard drive cost £80.
BOB one of the best series ever in my opinion.

Band of Brothers is currently able to be streamed via Sky box sets if that helps?

Behave, pacific was brilliant!
Anyone know how to save these permanently offline on a Windows computer?

Agreed. Episode 3 was the worst for me (no spoilers to others). It was a waste of time imo...
Band of brothers is my favourite show ever. Nothing comes close for me. I already own it but heat. P. S i couldn't get into pacific at all. Only managed two episodes iirc.
Heat just because BoB is so damn good.

Just finished rewatching it on NowTC for the first time in over ten years. It’s still as brilliant as it ever was in every respect.

Never watched The Pacific but just started and a few in. The action scenes probably outstrip BoB for intensity in some ways but - and maybe this is because I’m not all the way through - I don’t feel much of a connection to the characters. By the end of episode 1 of BoB I felt like I knew the personalities and felt the connection straight away
The only problem with The Pacific is that BOB is so good.
I'd love to get this, but I have both as boxsets. Although I do have both, I've not yet watched The Pacific, albeit I've had it for roughly 7 years!

Band of brothers is the best war series I've watched. I'm quite good & numb to a lot of things, but at least one particular episode had me choked up.

Yes, but the first rules of news groups is....
Bob is IMHO the best TV series ever made. Beautifully filmed, superb acting and script, truly relatable characters. And that scene where everyone watches in awe as capt spiers runs through the German defences to deliver a message..... Then runs back!! Bloody brilliant! Good deal well worth it just for Bob. Much heat.

£20 seems like a lot as well to me.
Bastogne still breaks my heart. Poor Joe Toye and Bill Gaurnere.

Man that bit with Speirs is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

It's HBO - it's not on Amazon Prime to watch for free. You still have to pay for the series.

I watched the first two yesterday. Not grabbing me at all so far. Couldn't tell you anything about any of the characters.

Not sure if hugely popular but still a thing, I'm in the top 10% of downloaded in the UK according to virgin media
These are also on US iTunes now for $19.99 if you’re interested 😁

Did say if you’re interested. Not sure what being American has to do with it - the point is it is accessible in the uk and some access it as a means to good deals. Oh, and transfers to Movies Anywhere, and then onto Google Play including uk.

Edit: oh you’re the OP and this is your deal, makes sense now
