At that price I'd say def fake. Amazon are worse than eBay now for fake crap

Too good to be true
I have those from LG G6 package and sound quality is awful. I am not sure how B&O put their logo on this item.
They are not fake, they are the ones that came with the LG V30. Paired with the V30 B&O DAC and a few tweaks, they are pretty good for a free pair with a phone.

It's true that it's good "value" however the sound signiture is pretty poor for most people , very monitor like , most people don't use earphones as monitors.
I also got a free pair however I used mi e a few times , thoroughly impressed, I never used them again.

Very true, the monitor (flat) style is what I like - I have mostly PreSonus Speakers and Headphones for when I'm producing, and find these very good platform with crisp treble and pretty accurate mids and bass. Compared to the market standard of Sony etc which I find quite muddy.

Exactly my point, these are suitable for production work. However for us the end user, on the bus /train listening to pop music/dance/metal/country , it's not enjoyable.
Probably really good for classical and audiobooks.
Horses for courses.

Entirely personal preference then. I prefer to hear music as its intended not over equalised by default, I'd like the option to do that myself.

I know what you mean, but I find that phone apps like YouTube or Mx player are lacking EQ options which forces me to seek a more brute force method.
If I had more EQ control on my phone, then buying earphones would be easier, and also easier to control errant characteristics of earphones.
Maybe they could work on that. Maybe the phone could identify which headphones and earphones were plugged in by sampling a few impedances at a few frequencies and then applying that EQ profile per device!. That could include Bluetooth earphones as well.

Any Devs out there?.
