Great price, also worth noting they are the same price on amazon now, due to the new H3 2nd gen being released.

These are not worth the money. You can pick up better sounding earphones for less money. B&O are a good brand but like Bose they are more about marketing and aesthetic rather than sound quality.

For people coming to this thread, can you give examples?Cheers

Sure. This is a link to a 'best of' page, I don't think all of them will be better but definitely some of them are.

My picks would be the Shure SE425 or Klipsch R6i, these are closer to reference quality. B&O will add a lot of colour to their sound which some people actually prefer, but if you want better quality sound go for one of these instead!

I think the SE 425s are coming in at around £200 but for sure they would blow these out of the water (I'm currently listening to SE 535 Special Edition).

The What Hi-Fi review of the B&O actually came in at 4/5 (reviewed at £200). At £59.99, I'm sure they could hold their own but the list you provided is a great help for people on the hunt in this price region

Sony MDREX650APT.CE7 are surprisingly good for under £40
.
I also use Sennheiser HD595, KEF M200 and M500 headphones, but these cheaper little brass sonys are good

Oh I selected under £100 on the page so shouldn't have been any more! My mistake.

I work with a lot of B&O kit and I know they are not worth the money. Somebody like Klipsch genuinely care about pure audio quality which is nice.

Sony MDREX650APT.CE7 - lovely looking bit of kit.
Ibasso it01 or rha 750.. ^^ sony posted above are great and cheap. Avoid reccomendations on the shure se215...outdated and no longer can compete with cheaper alternatives.

Interesting review. Also that was at $140 (£105).

They also look a lot nicer than the box pic:

The black ones seem to be £59.99 at Amazon, or are they a different model?
many of the headphone brands you see are made in china by outsource companies.

Take a look at the KZ ZS6 this is a model I mod and the sound is better than Sennheiser ie80 ie80s 1More quad (I had them all)

Those look really interesting.

Do you mod these to fix the treble issue?

i'm not saying they are bad im saying you don't know what you are missing until you try a product from an OEM - ODM like the KZ zs6.

This is a single dynamic driver, the ZS6 has 1 dynamic bass 1 dynamic mid and 2 high frequency BA's per side.

The sound is really big like listening to studio monitors.

No I get that - I'm interested in the IEMs you listed.

Just wondering if the treble issue is an easy fix as they look like great value for the money.

The 2 BAs are a bit too powerful however I gave instruction on my amazon review how to relax them a bit with no loss of fidelity.
a bit cheaper on amazon for a better colour (in my opinion) amazon.co.uk/PLA…nes
Go on amazon buy the KZ ZS6 and try this at the same time.
the KZ are fantastic.

amazon has easy returns just dont abuse it

Bang & Olufsen products are always very high quality.
can't go wrong with this brand.

Don't believe any of the headphone hype about anything until you've tried them yourself.

I was recently wasting time in an airport and tried out some high end earphones through my LG G5 with the B&O Hifi plus DAC module. Some REALLY expensive Shures were no better or worse imo than my xiaomi hybrids. I really couldn't hear an improvement.

Best headphones I own are some Superlux HD681Fs that I got for £30. 2nd best I ever owned were some Klipsh Custom 1 but they got shit reviews in general so I guess a lot of it is subjective anyway. I'm also one of these people that has a large collection of well performing low price stuff like Noontec Zoros etc. Like the bang for the buck thing. It's only wires and magnets after all.

Oh dear, you really can't trust "What HiFi". Just look at their HDMI cable reviews:

Chord Company Active Silver Plus HDMI review
"...it delivers rich, strong (yet natural) colour"
"This HDMI served up a tight, punchy sound through our reference kit, with the well-integrated treble and mid-range underpinned by thudding bass that not only had incredible grip and was able to dig deep when required."

Wireworld Chroma 6
"...where this Wireworld shines is with pin sharp images and a realistic palette where skin tones are reassuringly natural and colours are well defined and in balance."

Oh dear? Really?

The earphones they have on the link I provided are superior to the ones mentioned in this thread, I was merely providing a source for people to look at them.

Also, HDMI cables do produce different levels of quality. The same as solid silver speaker cables produce better quality audio, if the slight increase doesn't matter to you then simply don't buy it.

Yes, they do.

Explain how using a higher quality speaker cable increases the audio quality in a hifi system? It works in exactly the same way. I'm not saying people will be able to tell a difference easily, i'm saying the difference is there whether you chose to believe it or not.

But surely one is an analog signal which can be distorted by the conductive material, whereas the other is a digital signal (on / off)?

I'm by no means an expert so happy to be corrected

Ok yeah that may have been a bad comparison, I was using that example to explain that the quality of the cables do matter.

To try and put it another way, HDMI video signal compromises of what the source is outputting, 4K, HDR, 4:4:4 60fps etc. Cheap HDMI cables have no ability to handle that and especially at anything above 5M they become useless.

If you are watching a 1080p source with a 2m HDMI it doesn't matter if you are using a 10p cable or a £100 cable.

If you are watching full fat 4K etc. at a 15m run to your projector, you absolutely need to invest in the cable for a variety of reasons, hope that helps clear it up a bit?

I’d be happy to correct you. But you’re correct, so I can’t
speaker cables carry an analog signal with a high amount of power the lower quality the cable the harder the amp will have to push (it can get more complex than this but im not that smart)

The best conductor is silver then copper then gold.

we use gold on the connectors not becase its the best sounding or anything like that. it simply lasts longer due to slower oxidesation

What you're saying is correct. I think we just misunderstood each other. The type of cable you use does matter for HDMI, but not in the way that you think I meant. If that makes sense?
The type of cable will matter for the purpose protecting the signal over longer distances. this has nothing to do with price.

Sorry for misunderstanding you

I own these, they cost a fair bit more but they're the best in ears I've used, ranging from mdr-pq4, cheap £7 Sony's and my beloved Xiaomi piston v2.1. They even hold a candle to my mdr-1a over ears and wh1000xm2 for sound quality. If you're brave and not scared check out sellers on eBay. My black t20is have been awesome.

True, broken ones can lose data. But no wonder you were misunderstood!
