Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium 38mm Watch (Store Worn) £4650 @ Banks Lyon
Posted 21st SepPosted 21st Sep
This is store worn (return if you don't like it obvs) with a huge potential saving.

I completely agree. Some of the designs are poor, but that's true of every brand. Finishing is always best in class though. The Snowflake is iconic though <3

For every pretty GS there also a horror show. Casio Edifce for nearly 9K anyone? 2019 piece that's lost 35% of it's RRP.

iguanasell looks like a knock-off website, they are not featured on the official authorisors list

Shhh.... keep it quiet. You don't want everyone to know about GS ;) (I have a Snowflake btw, and it's just awesome)

Yes agreed about depreciation, but there are many more that don't fall off a cliff like a Tag does. Nomos comes to mind, and I'm sure there are lots more.

Such a nice watch, and am sorely tempted. Just note the watch pictured in the deal is the Longines L2.759.4.78.3, whereas the actual watch the deal is for is the Longines L2.629.4.78.3

You could leave it running, I can’t see why you couldn’t. Personally I think it looks better with just the sub dial running though but that’s just preference.

Thanks. But would you/could you leave it running full time, or is it designed just for use in chronograph mode please?

Yes it will constantly sweep once the chrono is activated, the sub dial @ 9 is a second counter.

Silly question. Can the main second hand sweep continously? If locked, looks like a quartz like my seiko solar.

This is another fantastic price for a watch that won't be everyones cup of tea but it's a uge discount.

Unfortunately you are always going to get idiots. These are people who just do it for the sake of doing it. These aren't serious watch people. Just ignore them, they just crave attention

Because this guy will post on every single watch thread (mainly mine and the OP’s) telling people they are a waste of money and laugh at the fact some decrease in value. I just like to prove a point, he hasn’t done it since I’ve done this so maybe this has actually worked.

Oh for heavens sake why you posting the same stuff day in day out . Please respond to the people directly instead of having a public vendetta on here. It's one person's view on watches and who really cares (except you of course)

Another £131 up overnight, have I proven you wrong yet? (y) So exactly 15 days since you told me watch prices are tanking and took great pride in it, a watch I have has risen exactly £450. I do notice you don’t say much now.

So on the 25th August it was this: 8th September: ;) £319 in two weeks, £3767 in 3 years.

I wish I'm skint at the moment, currently furloughed. To be honest I got the U-boats and the Graham Silverstone Stow at a cracking price. From a jeweller who had shut up shop and was clearing his old stock. All with manufactures warranties £5600 for the 6 watches. At the time the Silverstone Stow was around £5000 RRP on it's own. It's a limited edition of 250 pieces. The two U-boats 42 are limited of a 1000 pieces. I got a copy of his purchase invoices, and I paid la lot less than he paid for them. He was just after cash as he was moving abroad. The ZENITH PILOT TYPE 20 CHRONOGRAPH TON UP 11.2430.4069/21.C773 is a lovely colour in person. Seeing it on the net, I didn't like it too much. When I saw it in store, I really like it and obviously ended up buying it. I especially like the etching on the back of the watch. I didn't pay Goldsmith price, there have been a few good deals knocking around for it.

You have far too much money. Also is that a Zenith Pilot?! Its a stunning colour.

I really have no idea, why I'm so fussy on the crown. These are some of my watches, when you look at the crowns (oversized) or Crown guards / protectors, or even the mechanisms for winding or operating the Chrono features. These look weird, but for some reason I liked it on the watches.

It’s the 36, the crown is a little pointy but nowhere near as bad as the pic makes out. Maybe it’s different on the 42. I love the Calibre de Cartier’s you posted earlier in the thread, tried one on before Xmas but the black dial on the rubber strap.

is that the 42mm version? I have tried a 42mm version on a while ago. But the crown design does put me off.

There's a few good brands around the kind of price with some greeting looking watches. Including Sinn, Eterna, Oris. To name a few.

At The Moment their using the Eta 2824-2 with 5 adjustments think I would buy the Ollech&Wajs cost is about £1400 3 weeks from Switzerland (quicker than Rolex) don't see many of them around in this country. on the subject of Breitling I think Sinn purchased parts and maybe movements

Yeah have to wait, usually JLC end up quite soft, so maybe next year you can grab a bargain. However, people really like this release so they might get a other way of putting this...harder.

As a big fan of the Professionals that was the main reason I'd heard of them. I know when Breitling was in trouble a few manufactures bought some of their machinery, this also included Patek Phillippe. OW bought the Navitimer machinery, which might have been a good buy. But this is probably why they never really made it as popular as say Breitling. If you look at there version of the Navitimer it's almost identical, so which would you buy the Breitling or O&W. I could be wrong but did they get around to making their own movements. I know they used to use early ETA movements without much modifications.

I only came across the name when reading about Breitling, they bought some of the machinery when the Breitling factory closed in 1979 said i would never get another autodiver but i like the look of them.

Same here! Been liking this watch for a couple of years. Seen lots of TAGs on HUKD but never seen this discounted before ( although I could've probably gone into an AD and asked for a discount). Tried it on at a couple of Duty Free outlets (airport and ship) but even they were more expensive, as are the grey importers. Bargain! I even considered Rolex, but couldn't make myself buy as, to me, most of their faces are ugly. Their best, to me, is Explorer 1 but that doesn't have the date. I now have a watch with a face I love. Watches are very much down to individual taste.

Got mine on Friday. Brand new, tags attached, 2 year warranty. Very nice.

Anybody received there's yet?

It was a bit of fun - I actually got the headphones for nothing.

So sad you even consider your laptop or headphones as something to brag with.

Stunning movement. Could look at things like this all evening

This A. Lange & Söhne Datograph movement is more beautiful than most art for me (y)

Because a watch like this has a notable technological value. The capacity to build a mechanism that doesn’t need mineral elements or electronic to function is an incredible piece of engineering. Mechanical watches like these can be as precise and accurate as quartz watches but with a far higher craftmanship. Nevertheless I would have to agree that with time most of the high end watches have become too expensive in comparison to the technology that they contain (rolex in the 70s was worth a lot less then now) because brands want them to be exclusive
