Rubbish!

Virgin is offering 0% on transfers for 18 mths and 0% on purchases for 6mths.

if your having problems with your current credit card you can transfer the balance onto this new card :?

Yes. like they will take on a credit risk these days :roll: unless of course your a banker or govt minister :whistling:

WARNING!!

Should have said, a little advice for anyone doing a transfer,

0% for 18moths (or what ever you get) sounds great but only if you plan on JUST paying off your balance.

All the Credit Card companies take your repayments off the transfer balance and NOT yournew purchases.

i.e. If you take 18 months to pay it off but also use the card all the purchaces made over that period will be earning interest the entire time.

Take Care

Okay so you save 4% after your 0% period, but pay 12% for 3 months more. Do you work for the Government? Or maybe you work for Barclays and want that huge bonus!!

:whistling::whistling: I See :whistling::whistling:

I bet the Barclaycard credit limit is rubbish. Virgin (mbna) are usually very generous with their limits :whistling:

The Virgin card offers 0% interest on balance transfers for 16 months (2.98% transfer fee involved) plus 0% on card purchases for 6 months. 16.6% APR (typical rate - not guaranteed) applies thereafter.

The Barclaycard offers 0% interest on balance transfers for 14 months (2.9% transfer fee applies - slightly less than Virgin) plus 0% interest on new card purchases for only 3 months. The typical APR rate is 12.4%, which is less than the VIrgin card. But please note that these are typical rates, and are not guaranteed. If applying you may find that they can only offer you a higher rate.

All in all it's horses for courses - if you're planning on paying off your balance in 14 months, go for Barclaycard. If it will take longer, go for Virgin.

Not voting hot because it's not such a great deal to be honest.

A pity there's no more offers for the barclaycard... like £25 credit or £50 voucher! But I guess none of the credit card companies are running promotions at the moment....
