I have a Barclaycard credit card but it is not a platinum, do you think I would get this deal if I ask if I can upgrade to platinum credit card and then transfer money from my other credit card at 0%

You can always ring and ask them. They are quite good. I rung few times in a past to close my account and they offered some credit (about £80 overall) and 0% on purchases.
It might depend on your circumstances.

So no fees for transferring the debt over to this card, that's interesting, not come across that before...cheers for the heads up op
My understanding is you can only transfer this balance to another credit card not a debit card, Has anyone knows about this?

Not sure what you mean with your question. Do you mean if you've got an overdraft can you transfer that onto this card? That would be a money transfer not a balance transfer so no, unless they have a separate offer for money transfer (which they sometimes do). Hope that helps!

I have just applied for a capital one credit card and got an offer of 0% balance transfer till Feb 2022, spoke to customer services and they this can be only transferred to another credit card.

No fees for transferring balance (debt) from another credit card. Plus you get paid £20 when you transfer £2500+ and £24 if you apply through Topcashback
Done that for years

Yep, because it's a balance transfer it gets transferred from another credit card but you can get money transfer deals and that will be put direct into your bank account (using the credit from whatever credit card you use).

In most cases no. Some banks allow it. But you can add her as a second user.

I noticed Barclaycard allow it, but she isn't eligible as an existing customer. Does anyone know specifically for Santander? I can't find the answer on their site.

Best to call and ask
I have a barclaycard platinum interest free on purchases 18 month - the interest free period is due to finish in 6 months.
Do you think it's worth asking to transfer my balance on this one and continue my 6 months purchase free period with new card.
TIA

I tend to wait closer to due date. Around a month to the end.

I think not all of them do, unfortunately, better to check. Do they accept transfers from any card (Amex?)?

You need to tell them you want to close your account. They always ask for how to keep you in. And keep offering things. (0% offers or credit to your account) At least in my case.

Amex aren't credit the way a Mastercard and Visa is since they are "charge cards" it's worth an ask, but I think it would be the same as a cash transfer rather than a balance transfer.
Does anyone know if it's possible to transfer a PayPal credit balance to this or any card?
Existing Barclaycard customer
If you already have another credit card provided by us (which may be one of our partner cards), we’re unable to accept applications for a further card.

2.7% fee on balance transfers. You will be charged £27 for every £1000 you want to transfer
Never had a credit card and looking at getting one just for emergancy and also to help build up credit. Is this ideal?

Depends what you need. Is it balance transfer or maybe purchases card?
This card is good to transfer balance from another credit card so useless for you really. Saying that after you apply using Topcashback you'll get £24.
Ideal credit card doesn't exist.

pay off whatever the balance is on payday.

Thanks! Not all Amex are charge cards, though, my one is a credit card where I had 18 month 0% on purchases so need to transfer a bit of the balance to the Barclaycard.

Yeah I've seen those before, although generally when people say Amex it's charge card since that's their main product. Should be fine on a credit card from Amex as long as the bank accepts Amex and Amex allows it.
Any charges for foreign transactions

My and OH do this regularly. I take out 0% CBT cards to take advantage of int free and alternate between the 2 of us, using the new card to pay off whichever debt is coming off int free. Never had an issue in transferring funds from a card in one name to another in a different name

I have pretty much the same deal bit its 20 months from Barclaycard and it was only 3months interest free. It has been a godsend and allows me to pay off acrual debt and no go in circles with interest cancelling out minimum payments on credit cards. How did i ever get in debt! Stupid credit cards
