I've just booked a 2 week holiday in a really cute cottage in Co. Wexford in Ireland. I booked it through laterooms.com but the cottage part is powered by cottages for you.

We paid £262.52 for 2 weeks but that include a £5 credit card fee - with a debit card its free.

I thought at first it was a pricing error coz its the same price for 2 weeks as the price of one but ive read through all the t&c and once youve got your booking confirmation which I got by email they cant go back on the price.

We've booked from the 3rd of oct but the cheap price seems to be from 26th sept through to just before christmas.

It such a good bargain & were gonna get a cheap ferry deal using clubcard vouchers.

While it's a cracking deal if you've got it....don't be too sure they can't amend it if it's a genuine error or a computer glitch. I have no doubt it'll be in their E&OE t&c .

Personally, I'd have kept schtum on this one until you had it booked and paid for in full ( unless you have , of course  )....... since every man and his dog will try and get the same deal which may / may not alert the site of the ( possible ) glitch.

Fingers crossed you get it at that price, and well done

ive booked and paid in full - it didnt give an option to pay deposit only.

I read over all the t&c and couldnt see anything - it just said they could change the price before you received the confirmation but Ive now got that so hopefully it will be ok!

There was another company doing 2 weeks for price of 1 (imagine ireland i think) for the same time period but none this cheap

fingers crossed - will update if i get any comeback on it

Why do these places have to charge for paying with a credit card? I've just sorted out a holiday abroad and had to incur separate credit card charges for the flights, accommodation, airport parking and the transfers.

as long as your not planning travelling anywhere else except that village then it's a good deal

the dart is over 4 hours away on foot less than 30 mins in a car (won't be taking it though obv)

so no mention of bus routes means expensive taxis

like I said if you want to relax in this cottage for two weeks then it's great

Thanks! Just booked a beautiful dorset cottage through same website normally £469 for 3 nights but I got it for £250! Swimming pool sauna and everything! Heat and rep added x x x:thumbsup:

I was holidaying in this neck of the woods for the first time a few months ago and would certainly recommend it

Loads of things to do and see. OP make sure to check out Tintern Abbey and take the Passage East Car Ferry into Waterford. Also take a trip to Hook lighthouse and find out the origin of the phrase 'by hook or by crook' ;-)

Well cheap, just come back from southern Ireland and we paid £450 for 8 days in a 3 bed cottage ..

I stayed in a cottage once, but didn't like it. Voted Cold

gone cheap now. £244.20 frm what i can see.

Please bear in mind the spending costs involved while there i.e. Euro. Eire is expensive hence the numbers of people from the south of Ireland taking their their holidays in the north have risen dramatically.Just something to keep in mind though great price for accommodation does help offset this somewhat I admit.

yeah i guess any euro detsination is now overpriced epsecially dublin which always seems expensive.
we were only planning to go for 1 week but this deal was too good to miss out.

we're going to use teco clubcard vouchers for the ferry so we will get this practically free.

the biggest expense will probably be food & drink

looks like the only date available for the 2 weeks is from the 14th of november!

I Booked an hotel in Folkestone through Laterooms.com. I gave Laterooms my card details to secure the booking. I cancelled the booking 2 weeks prior to the arrival date as we no longer needed the rooms. The hotel had already charged £80 to my card, which I disagreed with and contacted Laterooms about. They got in touch with the hotel who said they should not have made the charge and said would refund it with out delay. After 7 days I had no refund. I phoned Laterooms again who phoned the hotel. The hotel said they had made the refund and the guy at Laterooms said I should check my bank account, I had done this already. He said the hotel would probably charge £80 admin fee thereby cancelling out any refund! He left me on hold for 20 minutes and didn't sort anything but said the hotel may have taken a pre-charge of £80. He then went on saying the bank may have charged me £80 for an approval fee. I mentioned fraud and the police and he promptly hung up!
