These E-ProFormance discs are pretty good. I got some last year from 7DayShop and never had any problem with them. They wrote at the correct speeds on three different branded drives... Nice find!

Thanks Ray. Good to hear a good review. I'd never actually heard of the brand when I spotted these.

The only info I could find on VideoHelp was these ones, they're the only 8x DVD+R media I could find:

If thats the price for single layer... sigh its a pity they dont do dual layer

It still says 115 available. I do wonder how accurately/frequently stock numbers are updated on some sites.

Great price for them.

Ordered mine late last night with the free delivery option and I got up this morning only to find they have charged me £2.49,

So I am on the phone to them as I write, though I'm on hold

Why does it always happen to me. All of my bargain crazy order didn't arrive either.

Happened just when I sent me cc details so now I don't know if it's gone through

I guess you'll only know if you get the confirm email. I think that's, to them at least when the deal is done.

If it's essential maintenance time, i wonder if the orders will be honoured?

wow was gonna order some of these today anyway so i lucked out sweet! thanks for the post.

You're welcome :-D Hope the DVDs work out well for all who purchased :prop:

thats mine orders 2*25 and voted, thanks

These discs are a bit of a lottery. They can either be 'ok' or utter rubbish. Looks like they are being cleared out, I've seen numerous reports of people claiming to have sent theirs back.

CDFreaks is always a good place to find opinions on blank media.

Yes i have used these before and they are not very good i think you get what you pay for with blank discs.

You do indeed. It's not always a case of bad disc but bad compatibility. Some cheaper discs may burn great on a particular dvd burner but really badly on a lot of others so you get reports of people saying they are good discs when really they have simply lucked out with the combination.

I practically never buy anything other than Verbatim discs with Taiyo Yuden ink. More expensive but they burn on almost any drive, have very low errors and last very well (i.e. they still play what's on them a year later).

I completely agree, the most important issue for me (and for a large proportion of people who use this media for backup purposes) is:

Artemis

and last very well (i.e. they still play what's on them a year later).

I only use DVD+/-R's/CD-R's to back up data from my Hard Drive that I don't need to access that often, but it's important for me to be able to access it in anywhere up to 10 years time.
I remember the Maxell CD-R's that were selling about 7 years ago (and they still do I think) that everyone was raving about. Their compatibility was excellent, lot's of people bought them, recommended them.
Unfortunately now I can barely access the data from half the discs I've tried.
Longevity of discs if probably the discriminating factor between them nowadays.

You just contradicted yourself buddy !!!

It's always worth spending a bit extra for quality disks - you shouldnyt have these typr of bad burn problems with TDK

I would NEVER buy these disks
