This is a great price for anyone on a budget. I would recommend you to get your transfers when you are there - it will be alot cheaper, especially as 4 of you can share the same vehicle and there are always plenty of taxis around. So be prepared to add a little more to your holiday. If you want more baggage you can - but again this is a budget break and i think that the hand luggage between you should be enough for a week. It is a SC holiday so you can cook yourself somedays and others sample the local cusine. Go to Ryan Air for your flights: the price shows 2 adults (so 1 adult £10 - 4 £40)

Is a 1 bed apartment adequate for 4 adults.?

If a few people book this, then you'll either get the flight price or hotel availability to go, perhaps?

Do you want two adults in each single bed? If so, it's fine.

wouldnt ever book with lowcostholidays again.......... twice now booked flights that once booked arranged transfers car hire etc only to find out flight never existed and was then put on the nightmare timed middle of night flight and lost money on car hire and transfers so just beware lowcost are a NIGHTMARE so this really is not a bargain

Well you are booking your flights through ryanair, not lowcostholidays. Your only booking a hotel with lowcostholidays, you can always book the hotel elsewhere if required.

Anyone know what this area is like at the time of year? Actually, anyone know what the area is like in general?

Listen,check out Alpharooms.
That hotel is £87.61 on there (£21.90pp) and 5% quidco to boot!
Also same hotel,2 bedroom apartment £116.86 (£29.22pp)
Personally i always check out the all inclusive hotels as i have 2 children and it's easier and cheaper in the long run

We have been for last 2 years end oct/start nov and weather has been excellent both times 25c daytime and not chilly at all at night, sea nice and warm too although hotel pool was freezing!
We went to Blanes on the train, got off and got straight back on the next one!
We stayed in Callela both times which has plenty of bars and resturants but i wouldn't call it lively but we were all inclusive.
Excellent train service to the middle of Barcelona for 6 euros return, under 5's travel free
This region others excellent value for money

Where would be a good place to go then Thommo? Got any tips for another hotel in a better place?

How about some Uk breaks amibees....

H-Top hotels are pretty good,we stayed at the calella palace which according to alpharooms is 4 star,i'd say between 3 and 4.
Also in calella is H-top hotel Amaika,we went there for lunch one day and that was really nice(definately 4star) and closer to the beach, you can lunch at any of the h-top hotels on all inclusive, just need to book it.
Here's a link to their site

htophotels.com/

I'd book through alpharooms though for 5% quidco and also check travel republic
Just checked random date 29th Oct to 6th Nov at both these hotels and it comes out at just under £300 All inclusive based on 2 adults though i'v had it for not much more than this with our 2 children.
I wouldn't recommend h-top hotel jupiter in calella though!
Return transfers from Girona airport were around £60-70 for 4 of us and allow around an hour.
Hotel did an excursion bus tour of Barcelona from the hotel for all of us,think it was around 25-30 euros.
Hope that helps, ask again if you need any more info

How long is the transfer from Airport to Hotel?

Direct around 40-50 mins
Shared dropping at other hotels would be more like 90 mins
