Reebok GT40 S Treadmill

The Reebok GT40 S Treadmill with integrated ONE Series cushioning is a must-have for any fitness fanatic.
Featuring a 2HP motor, the GT40s lets you run up to 16kph (9.9mph) on its generously sized 130 x 43cm running area. Direct speed and incline controls take you to where you need to be, or you can opt for the incremental controls to gradually increase the speed and incline level, of which there are 12. Don't lose motivation - equipped with 40 workout programs, the GT40s keeps exercise varied every time you step on.
Vital run statistics such as speed, time, distance, calories burned, pulse and incline are also displayed on the clear 5" LCD blue backlit display.
With no copromise on features, the GT40s offers the perfect way to get fit in the comfort of your home.

What is ONE Series Cushioning?

Reebok ONE Series Cushioning takes the natural gait cycle of running and divides it up into three distinct transitional zones which are built into the treadmill's running deck.

These zones are designed to mimic the natural movement and transition of the human foot, helping to make running more efficient and comfortable.

The three zones work seamlessly together within the single running deck, hence the name ONE.

ZONE 1: CONTACT

The first zone at the front of the running deck helps to address CONTACT in the heel by featuring a soft, reactive surface which immediately absorbs the impact on strike.

ZONE 2: MIDSTANCE

The second MIDSTANCE zone ensures the natural transition of the foot is a smooth and seamless one. This middle part is designed to guide your foot into the right amount of pronation after the initial heel strike.

ZONE 3: PROPULSION

The third PROPULSION zone located at the rear of the running deck is equipped with a firm, responsive surface, which delivers forward energy during the 'toe-off' phase.

Key Features:

Just look at sold/completed history on ebay they go for 150 so you instantly loose 150 off the bat. Decided to buy pre-owned Life Fitness cross trainer for same price which at least will last and won't loose half of its value off the bat.Sports Direct being dodgy with cancelling order though, can I just reject delivery when it comes?

Your buying exercise equipment not an investment. If you dont plan on keeping it and only looking to resell it soonish, dont buy a treadmill or a cross trainer because something tells me your not gonna use it in 3 months.

I suggest people who want to start exercising do 6 months at a gym, if it becomes routine and part of their life then look at buying home equipment then they wont care if it drops in value after buying.

A new item will keep your warranty as I dont think its transferable, a new item is new... nobody elses sweat, scratches or wear you dont know about.
For a new item this is a good price. It will obviously drop price 2nd hand, but if you need a treadmill at home, you probably wouldn't be concerned with the price drop.

Thanks OP, great post!!
Gentler on the knees than pounding the pavement. My days of road running with a weighted bergen are well and truly over.

The martial's arts equipment is pretty reasonably priced to. Acquired some fairly robust hand mitts and training gloves.
I owned one of these and forced to sell because of space...but what a great machine this is. Argos had a better deal earlier in the year but at this priced delivered you would be struggling to get a better machine...
I got this when it was £340 and £12 delivery at Argos. A fantastic sturdy treadmill for anyone thinking about it. Heat added
Great treadmill, bought it a few weeks ago when it was in offer at this price, Hot
So tempted but a) not enough space and b) she wouldn't allow it
Had one a couple of years now, it gets a lot of use but has been no trouble. Just needs belt to be oiled regularly and adjusted very occasionally. Does take up a lot or room though and is very heavy
Will it fold flat to the floor?
Mines coming this morning, ordered Tuesday. Can't wait, I'm all licra'd up, lol

Noting new there, now you can justify it
Thanks OP. ordered.

Seen any good deals for the heavier person?
Since I’m 110.5 kg I needn’t bother. What a shame!
I bought the exact one in the last deal. My Achilles has a long standing injury due to overexercise, it's certainly better on my ankle, I can run for an hr with much less pain due to the slight cushioning and fixed surface due to this recovery is much quicker. Not as fun as outdoors but needs must.

It's a good surface and has a decent sized run area , the console is pretty basic compared to the gym but is entirely sufficient. It does feel like good equipment for the home, I wouldn't like to see it in the gym though.
On low speed (walking warm up or cool down) the belt does slip a tiny bit. I'm tall and built well so weigh near on 15 stones so you may not have the issue. Slip is usually fixed by increasing the speed. A small incline helps with slip also if not increasing the speed.
I've tightened the belt centred it and oiled but hasn't fixed the slip issue, I'll prob have another try soon but I think it may just be the equipment, no biggie though.

I was over 120Kg when I first started using mine. Over a year later and it's still fine (but I'm a lot lighter now) so if you're not too much over it shouldn't be a problem.

If you're running at Olympic Marathon pace this probably isn't the equipment for you
That’s a huge paper weight

Impulse buying a treadmill at 3am, what could go wrong?
Will be great for drying clothes in 6 months time!
How much noise would this produce when being pounded at 11km/hr on a wooden floor?

Too much, if you have a garage it would be much better in there

If you've got a pure gym they are £10 a month is some areas, usually under £15 and no cancellation fee or fixed contract so you can end it when you like.
The kit is decent and on par with the more expensive commercial gyms.

24hrs aswell, You enter with a pin. I've been before at 3am, couldn't sleep...literally no one else there.

If you dont want to go when its rammed, avoid between 4pm ish and 7ish. After 8pm is a pretty good time to train or early afternoon if you have the odd weekdays free. I've never been into going before work at 5/6am. I prefer to sleep until I have to get up.

I recommend to heavier people you get a crosstrainer instead, knees don’t like heavy loads

I looked at these second hand but my problem with used is that I don’t know how well the 1st owner assembled the item in the first instance. Warranty and an element of self assembly, potential for missing bits- pay the extra and get some peace of mind in my opinion. I also didn’t want to pick it up from someone else’s house at a time to suit them etc
110kg is NOT 18 stones 9lbs?? It is 17.3 stones. The max user weight is not correct.
Is this any good for someone 6ft 4? Never used a treadmill before as used to pounding the hills. When I got my cross trainer I had to get one with quite a big stride. Just wondered if there is anything I need to look out for?
Voted hot!
