As i am having an extended stint working from home, the kitchen chair is getting a bit hard on the posterior, so decided to get a proper office style chair for the home study.

Came across this deal for a leather faced manager chair (RRP £128), £49 exc VAT, £58.80 with, just ordered one so lets see how it is. For a lower end budget it seems a great deal, and it seems to be well reviewed, and the website itself has good Trustpilot reviews also

41349964-M5HRz.jpgI have this chair, been using it about a month to work from home. Found it a slight faff to put together but that's just because I'm DIY useless lol. As a 6ft 12 stone bloke I'm finding it very comfortable and can easily recommend it, was the cheapest I could find at this price point.

For people that are currently sitting on dining chairs or sofas while working from home, this will be a huge upgrade.

Title should be changed to "leather effect" as stated in the description online. It is faux leather.

Not that I'm bothered and will probably order anyway but.... I think it states leather "effect" faced finish.
someone beat me to it
Anyone purchased this already? Is it comfortable to sit in for long periods ?
Not enough butt padding for my liking; but 154 kilo rating is good for a chair of this price.
Good value.

Shame its only paying by card - no PayPal
Thanks - placed an order.

My current chair - not quite 4 years old - is knackered. The height adjustment keeps slipping down to the lowest level every 15 mins or so.
A bit late for me now, but if you subscribe to their newsletter ( and confirm email! ) you will receive a code for 5% off your order.

Does this actually give you good neck/head support?
I was just about to go and pick up the Ikea MILLBERGET chair but decided instead to go for this, I hope its better than the MILLBERGET (I know it will be better than my dining room chair!)

I own the milberget, and although I don’t regret the purchase, 6 months later every time i lean back on the chair there is a ‘creak’ noise which is kinda annoying

Damn that creak. Know it too well.
I have this exact chair working from home for over 4 months now. It's very comfy for the price.

It has an awful creak when first put together which was mentioned above. Strip it back down and use ACF50 or WD40 (or similar lube) on each screw when putting back together and it's now completely silent. Strongly recommend doing this

I've just ordered it, based on the replies in this deal thread, but it is of course up to you on whether you decide to do so.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to properly register and order in time when it was still in stock, but waiting an extra two weeks or so is manageable enough.

My current chair (no idea what brand, but was around £20-25 on a half price offer at Asda in 2012) recently started falling apart. A search of a few sites online (I had never heard of this site before, so hadn't checked it) was indicating prices of a new chair being £100+, so this deal thread was very good timing.

In all honesty, if it wasn't for the fact that people replied saying that they had received orders from them before (unless I misunderstood/misread some wording), I wouldn't have even considered buying from them as the site name sounded similar to the type used by scam sites that pop up every now and then claiming to offer great prices on popular items.

Although to be fair, those scam sites apparently usually ask for bank transfer or other similar methods that offer no protection, whereas this site is using a card payment processor that has been around for years (WorldPay).

I was suspicious to begin with also, and although it has a legit score on trust pilot from what I can see I am always wary from past experiences, so it was reassuring to hear people had bought from them after I posted the deal.
I can't wait for this to arrive. Having had one for around 7yrs it gave up the ghost having been sat on for four months solid whilst working at home. currently sitting on a dining room chair
Chair arrived this morning and have put it together, although brain doesn't appear to have worked properly and it took me ages to figure it out, you have to make sure you get everything pointing in the right direction and it isn't clear from the instructions.

However it's a very comfy seat and I am glad I found it!

I'm away from Sat, afraid now I might miss delivery. Has anyone else had a dispatch email yet?
I didn't receive a shipped email, just a text message the morning of delivery
I had one of these. Gave it away. Cheap trash.

I ordered one around 5 days ago. Nothing yet for me
After phoning them yesterday, I have now received my chair a few minutes ago. It was delivered by DPD with online tracking.

It was actually sent directly from Eliza Tinsley Furniture - it's called 'Darwin Executive Armchair' model 1007 - identical to BestBuys 'Barney'.

Won't have chance till next week to open it though.

Apparently I didn't have to wait until after the 27th after all, as I've had the same as you arrive via DPD too.

Mine will probably have to wait until the weekend to open it and put it together though.
I've just bought a similar chair for £111 from a German company. This looks like a good deal so will give it a heat. People that bought it make sure you give us some feedback 😄

Been using it for about a week now and it's a very comfy seat. Lack of seat tilting forwards is an issue for my girlfriend as at the moment the chair doesn't fit under the desk due to the arms and space we have available, so it's too far away from the desk for her to type and write. (new desk on the cards)

For me (6ft) though it's fine and is comfy to sit on .
anyone bought one can tell me what delivery is like?
