Great deal, added heat. Does anyone know how I work out what size bikes my boys will need? Or am I best going to a bike shop
It’s right time to get hands on this beauty. Kids would love it any day. Can’t go wrong with disc brakes and suspension. Competitors costs are around £300 for a similar spec. Good found I guess
Great deal. That's one of my daughters Xmas prezzies sorted

Best thing to do is go to Evans cycles or Rutland cycles see what size they recommend. Then look around. My son is 135cm and this bike is just right for him
135-145cm 24” bike 145cm + 26” bike if that helps.

Thanks so much for replying. I will measure my boys tomorrow and if I get chance nip to a local bike shop. Think we only have Halfords really and Winstanley Bikes near us. x
Both Halfords & Winstanley will be able to give you the right sizes 🏻
Do go outdoors sell them assembled?

Yes they do or you can have it assembled at a later date if it’s a Xmas present but you then have to pay for that not sure how much though. Hope this helps

Dors anyone know the weight of this bike? The £300 would be around 10 kg, but with alloy frame, suspension forks and disc brakes I would guess this is closer to 13 kg. I can't find any details.
Great price, but it's going to be heavy

I imagine forks will be a weighty gimmick with not much benefit and disc brakes likewise.

That said assuming it isn't too heavy it's a good price !
Yeah, it's 16kg apparently - cheap, but that is one big unit. Think an 8-10 year old would struggle on that.

Can I ask how you’ve got that it’s 16kg ?

I’ve just weighed this bike and it’s 13kg. And to be honest most other top end kids 24” mtb with alloy frame, suspension forks & disc brakes range from 11.2kg to 12.5 kg like frog & Cannondale. But most of their starting prices are from £300+
Ok, I phoned them and they said 16 kg. Maybe that is the package weight. Do you own this bike? Good to know if that is the case. When I looked at Frog the other day it was 10.2 kg, but didn't have suspension or discs (and I can't go to £300). 13kg is just on the edge of reasonable.

Yes I bought my son this bike a few days ago. He is 6 but 135cm tall, I was very sceptical about buying this bike because of the weight, forks & disc but for £125 I not bothered if he scratches it or if it’s a little bit more heavier. I just wanted something he could use on trails as most top end bikes are £300+. But as he progresses & gets older I will look more towards Cannondale, trek etc

If £300 is just on the edge of your limit it’s worth checking this bike out

It’s £309 with good spec for the price and weight is 11.78kg

Did a bit of digging about. Definitely heavier than a premium bike but lighter that a BSO from Halfords at the same price. Given it will probably only see 18 months use in total I have decided to go for it as we are not everyday cyclists so hopefully will do the job.

There is some comedy there tho. 'Heavy, 2 person handling'
For a bike for an 8 year old...... hehehehe
I must say that so far so good,my 8 year old has no problems at all with riding this bike,if fact it it was a great buy!

I’d suggest paying the extra and taking a look at the rockrider range from Decathlon.
Did anybody get pedals with their's
