This looks like sooo much fun and personally I think the price is great too ..

Featuring a strong tubular steel frame and high impact plastic seat this sledge is what every kid needs for the snow! The skis are operated by the steering wheel and a dual footbrake for when you reach the bottom of the hill. Also includes a tow rope for that boring pull back to the top. Suitable for ages 5- 14 years this is an ideal gift.

all we need now is snow!

Stuff the kids. I'll keep it for myself!

From my experience, the best sledges seem to be the cheapo plastic ones, as all the posh ones tend to be heavier and need more snow to be any use.

Well it sounds like you have very little experience then. The best one's by far are the old fasioned wooden framed ones with two wooded or metal tubular runners. From the looks of this one it will be much better than the £4.99 cheapo plastic ones you get at fuel stations.:whistling:

Cant beat the ones we used to MAKE!!!

I remember one sledge I built using the chrome strips from the side of an old ford, fitted along the runners.

Boy that WAS fast.

I once sledged , with 4 others , on a sheet of corrugated steel. Lethal, but fun

I have experience of racing my mate down a hill who was using one of said wooden sledges and as I went gliding over a snow drift his got stuck and sent him flying
