makes me wonder too - lol:whistling:

What's going on at Sainsburys atm? They're virtually giving stuff away.

They are not giving things away. This is called a consumer profit drive to make people come to the store as often as possible thinking that they would rake in a bargain any moment. The idea is to make more money. Another technique which they have yet to deploy is to keep as many shopper as possible in the store for the maximum time.... this technique is about giving away limited number of items at bargain prices every hour. So while the consumers wait in the store for the hourly bargains they put more stuff into their trolleys.

Not if they are true HUKDers they don't! :whistling:

Some interesting comments about hourly bargains, I had not heard of that one before. One comment I would make about both ASDA and Sainsburys is that the bargains vary wildly from store to store. Perhaps it is just luck being in the right place at the right time. Tescos seem to be very short of good bargains at the moment.

Meh... you can get calculators free.

Some true HUKD'ers buy the big bargains which they never get round to using! So the retention of people on HOTUKDEALS online is the same as supermarkets wanting to keep as many buyers in the shop as possible. That's why my local big Tesco had doubled its car park spaces last year.
