This bundle includes the following:

(prices are from Amazon for comparison)

Basic Wii U (8GB) - £169.99
Wii Party U - £14.49
Nintendo Land - £11.40
Super Smash Bros. Bundle - £49.85
Super Smash Bros. Controller - £22.85

So in total it'd cost £268.58 whereas ShopTo's making a save of £48.73 which is quite good considering that the Super Smash Bros. Bundle is going for like £50 (and £55 at Nintendo!)

Quite disappointing that retailers are all offering the Basic Wii U (8GB) instead of the Premium Wii U (black, 32GB) version but still a pretty good price.

where are you getting those prices from? Basic Wii U with Wii Party U and Nintendo Land is £170 together.

OP, whilst your numbers are right, it is not the cheapest way to get it all. The cheapest is actually through ShopTo where:

- Wii U bundle with Wii Party U and Nintendoland is £164.86
- Smash Bros bundle is £49.85
- Gamcube controller is £22.85

So in total it is: £237.56

So this bundle saves you £17.71 but you have to wait a month for it to be dispatched, whereas if you buy it separately you would get the console now and be able to use it for a month.

Not a great priced bundle in my opinion.

Smoking deal

Yeah feels like it.

They should be selling the Premium Wii U consoles not the Basic Wii U models which only have 8GBs of storage plus they look cheap with their white colour.

Personally if you see a good 8gb basic deal I'd go for it. Unless you've your heart set on black rather than white (ironically white is the cheap version for Nintendo but the exclusive/special for x1/ps4) they'll serve you pretty much exactly the same.

The additional accessory is worth about £2 at game, the cash back from the Nintendo store ends in 2 months and the extra 24gb isn't really enough to make a difference to anything.

If you don't plan to download much 8gb is plenty, if you do then 32gb isn't enough. Assuming you some how fall into the category where 32gb is just right you could still just as easily buy a cheap 32gb sd card for £10.

Also heat for a decent smash bundle.

The 8GB console only has 3GB of usable space. Patches could easily fill that up. Heck getting the Mario Kart 8 DLC will practically fill it.

SD cards don't increase Wii U storage. There are there for Wii backwards compatibility. As for using a USB adapter to make it work on Wii U (or a USB flash stick). Cute but don't cry to me when you lose all of your saves.

But in the light of the NNP promotion ending and gloss black being the worst material ever (scratches easily, gets dirty by itself), the price difference between basic and premium is best put towards a modest hard drive (or finding a casing for an old laptop one).

The major sticking point for me, against the basic model, is the white thumbsticks. It doesn't matter how clean your hands are, the will slowly go yellow. This obviously doesn't happen with black.

I confess I didn't realise the sd card was only for wii backwards compatibility. That said, surely you could just grab a 32gb memory stick for a similar price?

Regardless, I agree you'd be better off putting the £20-30 difference towards some form of external storage.

White thumbsticks yellow with age and use. Bathing more won't solve that problem, unfortunately. Bleaching the sticks periodically might though.

I'm not gaining anything out of posting what I do on these Wii U console threads, other than let guys know who are going to buy the Wii U that there is threads related to the Wii U on HUKD that they can check up on to ask questions, check out on games deals etc.

There are quite a few guys on here that play MK8 races, so they use the MK8 thread to communicate. There have been quite a few people who are happy that there are such threads for them to check out. So if nobody else is getting pee'd off with what I post I'll carry on regardless of what you say.

So if the Mod's don't like it, I'll stop. Until then I think someone else needs to get out a bit more, as I do plenty of it instead of posting numerous comments on each Wii U thread everytime...

Yeah you keep telling your self just that in every Wii U post!

What's your problem? rimz is trying to be helpful - what are you contributing here?

What cashback?

There is 8% cashback or something for purchases on the Nintendo store for premium console owners.....until 2015. Which is in just over a month, so I wouldn't really consider it a selling point anymore.

I will do, thanks...
