Have to agree, when I heard Google Play were doing this, I was expecting average albums, but some of the albums on offer have been great!

Oh come on, I just bought this on Google play. Would have preferred it on Amazon.

Heat!

Heat given but already listed this morning.

I need to pay more attention

Why do people prefer Amazon to Google Play?

The Google Play version has a better bit rate compared to Amazon, it is in the Google 'cloud' accessible from the Google Play app and you can download the album via a browser and add it to your iTunes library for instance....

Android and iphone users can access both the Amazon and Google apps....

you can download the album via a browser

When I looked, google play let you download the album twice with your browser. Whilst that is probably enough, I'd really rather they didn't limit it at all (like Amazon). I know you can download using the google play music software thing, but that feels like 'hoops'.

Also the Google Play Music app for android let's you 'pin' music, but it doesn't just download the MP3s to the device. They're encrypted or obfuscated somehow, so other apps can't read them. The Amazon MP3 app just downloads the plain MP3s.

So I am able to get MP3s out of both, but Amazon is easier, and they seem to have a more reassuring answer to the question "Will I be able to download this again later?"

They've more or less just been picking popular albums, most of them having come out recently. It's good on Google's part, but not exactly the hardest job in the world!

How do you download this to your pc? By the looks of it i've just paid to loan it permanently from Amazon?

The cloud player is ****...

I'll just torrent it instead... amazon's music player is dreadful...

I don't think it's that bad, TBH. Obviously though its not fair to compare something that's free and illegal with something that isn't.

I don't think I am? I bought the mp3's from Amazon (thereby supporting the artist) but the only way I can actually listen to them away from a PC is to torrent them.

I cannot download them from the amazon cloud player as it will not let me. In this instance I have little choice.

I wasn't meaning to be accusatory or anything, just the fools which write 'COLD not free' comments kind of irritate me. It let me import mine straight to itunes.

Cold due to the fact they ruined 'rhythm of the night' absolutely murdered it!!

Great price!!

#When you clohse yerais...

Makes me shudder everytime (and not in a good way!)

Not my taste, but heated. Good work OP

Excellent find on Amazon. Thanks. HEAT !!

Download stuff all the time from the a Amazon Downloader that is installed when you choose to download the first song. It also lets you upload any albums you have on your hard drive to the Amazon Cloud Player for free to listen to anywhere.

This is amazon's response to my "how do I download this..."

I am sorry to know that you are facing problem accessing the cloud … I am sorry to know that you are facing problem accessing the cloud player. I researched your account and found that the billing address belongs to United Kingdom. Please know that at this time, Amazon Cloud Player on Amazon.com is only available to U.S. customers. To sign up for an Amazon Cloud Player account from Amazon.com, you must generally have a U.S. billing address and a payment method issued by a bank located in the U.S. If you are using a gift card, you must be physically located in the U.S. We are getting many feedback regarding the availability of cloud player for international customer and we have already escalated this issue to our cloud player specialist team. Once, we get an update on the cloud player functioning and usability, we'll definitely plan to launch the cloud player for our customers worldwide. Also, I'll pass on your feedback to our management and planning team so that they can look forward to introduce the cloud player in United Kingdom too. I hope this helps to explain things more clearly. Amazon does care about its international customers, and we are working on ways to improve our service and selection. If you have any further query, please contact us by e-mail or chat. Amazon MP3 specialists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week using the following link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/music-downloads.html In addition to our large selection, one of the benefits we try very hard to offer our customers is convenience. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced in this case.

haha. Um, they're not aware that Cloud Player has been available in the UK for at least a year now? Nice.

But Cloud Player doesn't download/Upload music, that's the Amazon Downloader, another piece of software that needs to be installed on your PC or Mac to run. This 'should' automatically ask to download on your computer when you choose to download from the cloud player, but may be blocked by pop-up blockers.

Heat added! I was busy with work all day yesterday and missed the 99p deal thinking nooooo! Checked and they still have it for 99p at Amazon! I saw Bastille live at Manchester recently and they were AMAZING! Lead singer Dan Smith came through the crowd and was an arms length from me

Also unbelievable value.. 25 songs for £0.99! Under £0.04 a song!!!!
