These Marrowfats are delicious mushy or left whole but must be soaked before use to avoid damaging your teeth. They are price marked on shelf at 12p reduced from 48p and are best before November 2014.

Absolutely guaranteed to be price reduced to12p in EVERY Sainsburys. However, just on the off chance the aren't, maybe it would be better mentioning the store bought, so at least those in the vicinity can partake.

This was found in the South Harrow store and scanned at 12p each. Not available online.

MarrowFARTS more like!

Yip! I love these and they are great in soup but the repercussions are not worth it!! They make me blow off like a Gatlin Gun!!!

Mmm love these!

Don't remember these being reduced on my aisle at work last night - or rather I don't recall the red SEL (and I normally have a keen eye for red label clearance bargains). Will have another look when I'm back working that aisle tonight - I'm expecting the shelf to be clear by then

A box of these will give you a supply of fancy salad pea shoots for years and years. Just push a few into a pot of compost and up they come.
I've been using the same box of Lion brand dried peas for at least five years. No pre-soaking required ...

Dried peas take a little too much forward planning.

Those looks absolutely vile

For those convenience people who use mushy peas in tins these are the real deal and taste fantastic.Bet you will never go back to the slush in tins and they are loads cheaper.Hot.

Thanks for all your lovely comments and heat. Btw the pic is not my own this was via the mod. These peas are a lot more attractive than pictured here .

Night shift lunch break!
Anyway in my store these are priced at 49p on the shelf label and are dated 'til May 2015. Could be store specific or could be an out of date shelf label on our shelf. Loads of stock on the shelf.

Thanks for checking Chippytea, has anyone else managed to find these scanning at 12p?

No worries - it's my aisle (canned foods) at night anyway, I was a bit surprised to see it posted as I didn't spot it the night before as when I'm working / dressing the aisle I pay attention to the shelf labels and the clearance lines stick out like a sore thumb and I didn't recall one for this line

Will pop in tomorrow and double check, but I'm inclined to think it's a store-specific deal at the moment. Very good price for people who manage to get it though, especially since there's plenty of stock. Ideal food for a rainy day (could probably make a nice cheap pea and ham soup!).
