Great price for a great game.

Xbox link below

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.

Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

Why can't amazon do their own deals for once, instead of copying play all the time
Why doesn't AndyWedge just add Amazon to his post rather than having two?!
the power of people amazes me I reported the price to amazon along with others a short while ago and bam it happens

Unspammed - the play.com deal has been posted but not the one for Amazon for this game title - members might have different retailer preferences so please don't spam a deal because it's being offered by a new retailer. I've removed the reference to Play from the title to prevent any possible accidental dup spamming and thanks for posting KaiElite307
Sold out at amazon on 360 from the looks of it, just as I was going through the checkout
The play.com deal was brilliant and deserves the credit, but I hear their postage times are abysmal at the moment.

Therefore you'll have a better chance of getting this before Christmas. Making this probably the better deal.

But they are both hot.
Ordered, I trust amazon to get it to me before Xmas as its a pressie for my bro, not been happy with play's dispatch time in the past
Cheers op
expired
xbox price gone back up unless im doing something wrong
The fact the other deal is over 2000 degrees I'm pretty sure most people on here would know that Amazon would then price match it, anyway cold from me as Amazon need to start putting on their own prices instead of copying other hot deals...
expired now? amazon failing to keep up with play? (_;)
amazon seem to have no stock, expired!

So what if they copy prices? This keeps the market competitive, therefore better prices for us. Plus, if given the option, I would always buy from Amazon over Play. At least Amazon will deliver within a few days, Play's norm would be to deliver within a few weeks!!

Alternatively, why does HUKD not have an 'alternative retailer' button so that price matching can be kept under a single deal?

How does copying a price keep the market competitive, epsecially when you then run out of stock after selling a few copies? If they bettered the price it would keep it competitive, they just copy because they know Play, Zavvi and a few others are rubbish with deliveries so they will get the orders. It's a good policy because they are better at dispatching than most but I still don't think it makes it a hot deal...

It seems you like to moan.
Surely choice is good for the consumer.
Amazon could quite easily keep their price at ~£30 but have chosen to drop it, allowing many people (particularly those with prime) to get it at this price quicker.
I don't see how that's a bad thing.

Because if one retailer goes 'out of stock' then the buyer still has the opportunity to get at the lower price. Honestly, I agree with some of your points but it is good marketing from Amazon because as you say, they know their delivery system is better so people will be more likely to buy from them instead.

This is obviously a bad example though as you rightly pointed out that Amazon sold out after a few copies and Play's deal is still going (well, for Xbox only now!)

The thing is, even if Amazon did have plenty of stock, as soon as Play sell out Amazon would then put their price back to what it originally was.
Amazon do offer a great service and also some good prices, but when they are only matching a price because it's a hot deal on this site, it will not be getting a hot vote from me...

Because they don't need to lower the price, as this is the lowest price it has been since release and we the sheeple will buy it as this is a cracking price for an epic game.

OOS now - unsurprising I got my order in with Play before Amazon price matched.

Fair enough, you do raise a good point and they usually do increase the price again after the other deal ends. In fairness though, when I see a hot deal here, I would prefer to see on this site that Amazon have price matched as I would much rather order from them. Maybe it would be better if the original deal got updated to include the Amazon price match and not post a separate deal, i dunno...
Still in stock, just bought the PS3 version. Stonking deal.
ordered, heat added, dont forget Nectar Points
Yeah still in stock on Amazon

Out of stock on Play
Holy HotUKDeal Batman!
Back in stock at Amazon-many thanks

The spam button should be removed and only used by admin team / mods. Too many trolls on here spamming perfectly genuine deals.
It's almost as if Amazon waiting for Play's deal to go out of stock, and then add more stock for this.
