From the producers of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight comes Batman: Gotham Knight.

Bridging the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and directed by Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series), Batman: Gotham Knight taps into the work of three, pioneering anime studios (Production I.G., Studio 4C, and Madhouse) and five noted anime directors (Shojiro Nishimi, Futoshi Higashide, Hiroshi Morioka, Yasuhiro Aoki, and Toshiyuki Kubooka) to create a thrilling anthology of six interrelated, animated shorts based on stories by Josh Olson (A History of Violence), David S. Goyer (Batman Begins), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series), Greg Rucka (Whiteout), Jordan Goldberg (The Dark Knight), and Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets).

Good price, but 6 short stories with total length being 73 minutes (According to Amazon)??? That is seriously short stories.

I wasn't that impressed with this. 6 very different animation styles telling 6 short stories.

Trying to cash in on the Dark Knight's success.

Got over excited cause i thought it was the film. Never seen this but from the reviews here i don't think i'll be buying

i managed to get the batman begins/gotham knight double disc set for £3 inc P&P as new on £bay!

It is 6 short stories set in the gap between the 2 recent movies. All are by different folk but english voice casting is consistent and is properly Batman. Unfortunately some stories are weaker than others, and there isn't much of a story arc to hold it together. It really is 6 shorts, all with a different animation style and take.
I enjoyed it, but it isn't for everyone.

Studio 4°C, Production I.G, and Madhouse - these are THE animation studios to watch and they all helped make these shorts. For anyone with an interest in anime and the different styles I highly recommend these anime shorts. I'm a huge fan of Studio 4°C though and I recommend anything they're part of, very talented. Give the dvd Tekkonkinkreet a try you wont regret it.
