Looks like it was pulled as customers were complaining as Warner decided we (the UK) weren't getting the UV copy that was previously advertised (and as sold in the US).

Those who ordered the set did eventually get a UV copy code from Amazon.

Some did (some had credit etc) point is it should've been supplied by Warner in the first place and why is it not included this time round?

I'll get it when its £20. 3-4 months

no I watched it on Netflix. I was surprised they released a barrel version, it really should have been a bandwagon

you trolled me. this box set will not hold its value. it will be £20 within months. its never been worth its rrp

It wasn't pulled the first time round because of missing UV. It transpires some of the discs in the set require reissue due to errors. There's a disc replacement scheme for this.

As for it not holding its value, I scoff at this remark. 95,000 were released worldwide. I bought my copy for £109.99 and sold it for £185 on eBay after reading about the disc issues. I've already placed my order for this release which I'll be keeping. The DVD version goes for £80 alone.

There's a bog standard discs only edition already selling in other EU countries, that will eventually replace the LE over here, so no reason to suppose the price of this set will come down...

This show is in no way camp.

I got a partial refund and the UV code. As far as I'm aware it's the other way round and everyone got the UV code and not everyone got a partial refund. Also some people were offered more of a refund that others which was anywhere from 10% to 20% off the price.

The whole thing was a bit of a fiasco really, they were offering partial refunds at the beginning as they weren't sure what was going on, they even were sending out repacement sets as they though the UV code would be in those, but it wasn't ever there.

Eventually Amazon sorted it out and got UV codes from Warner Bros. for the people that had ordered the set as it was advertised originally on Amazon with the UV code included.

So if we took the £180 as its value when you sold your copy. Amazon now selling it for £94 that's ~48% drop in value

oops sorry £185 so a 49% drop in value

The value was never £185 that's my point. Amazon were selling the initial run for £109.99. People were paying more as it sold out months ago. There has never been a drop in value but an increase!

In 10 years time this will be virtually worthless. Guaranteed. I've seen all the DVD special/limited editions come and go. None of them are now worth anything like their initial price.

Even the steelbook fanboys have stopped posting "buy 10 and stick the other 9 in your attic. They'll only appreciate in value!!" It's not gonna happen.

Admittedly, short terms gains can be made. Personally I'm going to wait. The only thing this program's got going for it is nostalgia value. Who bought the Monkey boxset? Great for 3 or 4 episodes, but then the joke wears thin.
