Very long and not much action.

Needed more of the action from something like Spider-Man 3.

Hot price though.

Wow that's cheap! :thumbsup::-D

Getting closer to the magical fiver mark... outstanding movie though.

Finally! Feel's like I've been waiting for a price drop for ever.

Interesting comparison, Dark Knight is in a different league to Spider-Man 3!
Good price but if you can get it in blu-ray, absolutely stunning!

That's what I'm waiting for too. It'll happen, just need to be patient.

Absolutely! Saw Spiderman 3 for the first time recently & couldn't believe how bad it was. When Peter Parker went dancing around the Jazz club I thought a new 'jump the shark' was born.

Great price & voted hot, but £5 can't be too far away.

Hot price for a hot film.

Awesome film, great price, soooo tempted but trying to save, surely this 2 disc edition wont ever hit the magic 5 ???

Brilliant film.

Any comparisons with Spider-man 3 make me want to squirt milk out of my nose.

Good find and good price. Voted hot.

Mate, everything (except some 5 disc boxsets) hits the magic 5 or near enough! I got the Casino Royale 3 disc for under £6, 2 disc F4 & Silver Surfer for £3, Bourne Ultimatum for £4, etc. No film is too sacred to not be discounted somewhere.

It's just waiting to see which retailer did a massive over-order on TDK and has the bottle to reduce to £5 first. If it's not Play, it'll be HMV, or Asda instore, or Head Entertainment, etc.

Nice price, but as above I'm gonna wait

the most overrated film of last year. It's the comic movie equivalent of Michael Mann's Heat, for people that know nothing about movies and have never read a comic book.

Had high hopes for this but in the end felt it was a let down compared to the first one.
Some good scenes don't make for a good movie.
Sorry Heath fanboys but Jack Nicholsons Joker was more how the character should have been.
Caine, Freeman and Oldman were the best actors in it.

Totally agree. I've never read any of the comic books but I prefered the pantomime dame take on the Joker character. Nicholson's was easier for me to understand, whereas Ledger's just have psychological layers that I just found confusing.

I don't watch films to be challenged or have to 'understand' complex ideas. That's why I can't stand this movie.

If only it had the slow-motion from Mission Impossible 2, and maybe a better soundtrack done by the Jonas Brothers.

Amen brother - Mamma Mia was clearly the best film last year, evidenced by it's box office take. This film could've been more singalongy.

As much as I hate Mamma Mia, at least it wasn't as hyped as TDK.

as for the Joker having "psychological layers". He was portrayed as a one dimensional sociapath in TDK, if there is one thing he lacked it was layers, try Killing Joke, Long Halloween, or Arkham Asylum if you wan't to see the real Joker, because he's certainly not present in this tosh.

Although I admit, I did love having the Joker pulling all of those Two-Face style dual crimes, I thought it was a stroke of genius compositing the two characters so that there was no need to have Harvey Dent / Two Face in the film.

What am i missing here? £8 for a dvd? Not really that hot is it?

I liked Spiderman 3. And I like this film. But get it in blu ray if you can.

Now £6.99 at Play.

Now 5-6 threads on this matter from different sites. Does no one mod these topics. Merge them up and delete the repeats.

Its clear a lot of people do like this film.

Jack Nicholson's Joker was terrible in comparison.

The Joker is supposed to be completely unstable as he was played by Heath Ledger not like some Dick Tracey reject. The only reason he (Nicholson) was lauded at the time was because the only comparison was to the campy TV series.

£6.99 Sainsbury's instore

£7 at HMV as well.

Just noticed this. I wouldn't say JN was terrible, he fitted with that particular run of of films. Lets be honest, they were all so hammed up it's probably going to get jewish people sent to hell or wherever just for watching them  With BB and TDK we finally see the 'adult' version of Batman and Ledger played the part to perfection.

OT but have you seen the punisher 2? What a crock:whistling:
