Cheapest I've seen these. Killing Joke is easily one of my favourite Batman graphic novels made into a film. They do a great job with this, and there's like an additional bit which 'expands' on the original novel at the beginning.

Animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's graphic novel featuring the voice talents of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. The story follows Batman (Conroy) as he tries to apprehend his nemesis The Joker (Hamill) while exploring the origins of his most famous foe. After escaping from prison, The Joker targets the Gordon family for his next attack and kidnaps the Commissioner (Ray Wise) to prove that a bad day can turn even the most honourable man insane, just like it did to him. With Barbara (Tara Strong) caught in the crossfire, The Joker taunts Batman from afar as he tortures Jim in one of Gotham's run-down amusement parks. Can Batman stop him before he succeeds in driving Gordon to the brink of insanity?

*Both a part of the 3 for £20 offer (as is Batman Vs Robin (based on 'Batman: The Court of Owls' by Scott Snyder) and a few others - so you can get three cracking Batman films for £20)

Jay Oliva directs this children's (hmm, not sure I'd say this is for young children myself) animation sequel continuing the adventures of Batman/Bruce Wayne (voice of Jason O'Mara). During a run-in with the mean Heretic (Travis Willingham) and his gang, Batman is presumed dead after getting caught in a devastating explosion. Robin (Stuart Allan) continues his patrols with retired Robin Dick Grayson (Sean Maher) disguised as Batman. He fails to convince many, however, and the pair will require the help of Batwoman (Yvonne Strahovski) if they are to track down the missing superhero, whom they suspect is being held by Heretic as part of a sinister plot.

Animated adventure based on the comic book 'Batman: The Court of Owls' by Scott Snyder. Bruce Wayne aka Batman (voice of Jason O'Mara) is having difficulty controling his son Damian aka Robin (Stuart Allan), who often disobeys his father's orders, sneaking out of the house to fight crime. So far, however, he has followed Batman's order not to kill anyone but when assassin Talon (Jeremy Sisto), a member of the organised group of criminals known as the Court of Owls, tries to recruit him Damian begins a journey down a dark path. Meanwhile, Batman realises the Court of Owls may have been involved in his parents' deaths and is determined to get revenge. Through all they endure will father and son be able to reconcile their differences?

As soon as I saw the images being so tiny I said to myself, OK, I'll start my stopwatch and see if Buzz beats his record of 17 seconds X)

Justice League Dark is well worth a watch when it comes out next month
amazon.co.uk/Jus…YD/

Is it really worth getting these cartoons on bluray? Not trolling.

The Killing Joke was pretty cack, mostly due to the 'expanded' storyline.

Heat for the price, regardless.

Justice League Dark was surprisingly good though.

I like the batman games, Gotham TV show and the films, I've often fancied trying these more adult based cartoons. Can anyone suggest a starting point or best order to watch them?

I wouldn't say theres an order as majority are just there own story

This box set here may be a good start, usually around £15 on bluray on offer

There is also a movie called Mask of the Phantasm which is very good but is missing from this set as its only available on DVD

Nice price, but very overrated.

Massively disappointed in The Killing Joke. Whilst it was laudable to expand it with more emphasis on Barbara/Batgirl, it bares almost no relation to the Killing Joke itself and jumps from a Barbara story to a Joker story without any real flow or logic. If you're a fan of the graphic novel the rather basic depictions can't compare to Brian Bolland either. Kevin Conroy/Mark Hamill as good as ever, though...

Start the film 30mins in.. Thank me later..

I find the quality of these DC animated movies hugely variable. I'm not keen on any currently in the 3 for 20 deal but heat added for the price for those that are.

I know what you mean; don't want to post any spoilers for anyone that hasn't seen it but one would hope there's an option on the Blu-ray to watch the film from the start of the original graphic novel. That being said, it didn't 'ruin' it for me and I can see why they did it, i.e to make it 'film' length.

When it gets into the graphic novel, it's fantastic IMO. It's a shame they had to bloat it with unnecessary filler for the 1st half hour.
