The greatest joker story ever told.

Brian Bolland's line work is fantastically detailed and with the crown prince of comics writing this was destined to become a timeless read.

It's a lean noir story with great repurcussions on the Bat mythos, that continue to haunt many of the stories written today.

Moore blends both comedy and tragedy in this peice and bolland work will make you shiver and smile , often within the same page, with a deft sense of dynamism rarely seen in comics.

a great introduction to one of 20th centuries greatest fictional villians!

Format: Paperback
Date of publication: 30/11/1995
Publisher: Warner Books
ISBN: 9780930289454

If you check the ISBN you will find that this is the original 1988 edition, which sells for a cool £50. It is probably an error on Waterstones part, as they also say "Date of publication: 30/11/1995". Anyway, if you order it'll be interesting to see what comes. Either way. £3.44 delivered is an awesome price for this amazing Batman graphic novel

Hopeflly it'll work out as I lost my original when I moved to Manchester 11 years ago!!!

Weird, I got this out to read last night.

Fantastic story you will want to read many times (it certainly wont take you very long being so short.. ).

I've got the hardback deluxe edition as well which was about £6, the colours are far far better in the hardback, there are also some nice testimonials front and back with extra stories and art work from Bolland.

Hot though

I got it when it came out

:Pff, this guy's ripping you off. Ill give you £3 for it.

Thanks to original OP. Heat + rep given.

Showing as £4.99 for me. Even with 8% Quidco doesn't come to £3.44. Am I missing something or have Waterstones raised the price?

Thanks.

Cheekster.

I have to say, I am not a lover of this GN. It's great, for the joker, but it's over so quickly that I really can't love it. But the price is great and if you are interested, it's worth checking out.
